No matter what, I will pick my bike up on June 1st.

I then inspect the whole bike in front of them and document'em. If they are not going to pay for the damages, then I will call my lawyer to sue them all the damages.

I am not going to let this A Hole get away with this. He totally disrespected my fallen partners and ME. I will update as soon as possible.

Jim

Dude, that sucks...I like the advice of a lawyer. That is utter BS. Get the bikes back.

BTW, sorry about your Bro's...I can feel your pain...I just got back from the sandbox...I feel your pain.

If you haven't already paid, pay him with a Visa card and then place the charge in dispute. This really does work. Racetech all but ruined my FJR forks and dicked me around an absurd amount. I put the charge in dispute, sent the forks to Traxxion to be fixed, and got every penny back that I paid Racetech. Also, when you dropped the bike off, did you get a copy of a work order with an estimate that you signed for? Unless the work order/estimate clearly states otherwise, the law only allows them to deviate from the written estimate by a certain percentage. You should be able to tell them to shove the rest.

Sorry about your fallen Brothers and this clusterf**k you surely could have done without.

Well some of you know, I am in process of building a memorial bike for 2 of my fallen officers. After searching for many months, I chose "Rock and Roll custom paintshop" in Orange. I saw several custom bike built by this shop and liked the job. Their price was much steeper than others, but I thought, you get what you pay for. This shop is known for building bikes for several bike shows in TV. So I dropped by bike on 4/10/07 and they quoted me $1500.00 for everything. They promised me to return the bike back by 4/18/07.

4/18/07, I am at their office. They demand $500.00 more for putting bike back together. I asked what happened to $1500.00 quote. They replied, "R and R"

Ok, let me get this straight..they are putting the screws to a guy building a bike as a memorial to two fallen officers? It's really too bad the owner is such a bad driver. Maybe a few tickets will cure that bad speeding problem he has....

I personally would take this to the media. The bad publicity alone will get the issues fixed and alert others to the poor service.

UPDATE!

Well, I finally pick up my bike from the shop. They spend 1 month to fix the indicated problems and well almost nothing was done to fix them.

They didn't even repainted the messed up area. Still blue base shows through the new paint. Nothing was polished. It is full of dust. They broke right side battery cover. They just glued the fastener to hide the damage. Dash is still scratched. Windshield is still scratched.

So I asked the Randy the AHole what have he done? He started to yell at me in front of my family. So I tell him to lower his voice in front my children. Now he tells me, "I don't care who the **** you are. I'm doing nothing. No more." I tell him, "You have not fix the paint problem. It is still messed up." Now this mother ****** started to go crazy.

So I tell him to back off and I am leaving. This *** hole told me to get the **** off his property. Man I really hate being a nice guy. (Law man). I really wanted to teach him some manner, but I hate to show my anger in front of my innocent family. So I bite lips and drove away. I took pictures of all the damages and imperfections.

I will call BBB and file a small claims to redo the paint job and recover damages. I don't have picture hosting service. So NO pictures for now. I will ask Kaitsdad for help later.

Please pass the words around. I don't want to see any more victims. This mother ****** thinks he is GOD. Discovery Channel sure blow his ego up. What pisses me up most is that he disrepected the whole project to honor my fallen partners. I believe in Karma. He will get what he deserves for being an *** HOLE. I will serve his *** with the small claims notice some time next two weeks. (With an advise from my lawyer)

Thanks all of you for support.

People like you guys make me to serve this community with all mighty and dedication.

My plan is to recover the enough money to hire another painter to repaint the damaged area. This guy is nothing more than LOSER.

He lies so much and refused to listen to any common sense. I tape recorded this *******'s confrontation in front of my friend. Hope he lies in front of the judge.

In the UK there would be a process to go through. Take pictures, make careful notes with dates and times about what was said/promised. In times gone by I would have been tempted to get physical, especialy if he had sounded off in front of my family. Now I would not give him the satisfaction of lowering myself to his level.

Breath deep, do what you can to hurt him financially and get your money back......DONT get angry, DONT lose sleep over it, DONT let him affect your life by getting into your head every day. DONT dwell on it. This works well for me these days. STAY CALM.

Be calm and nail the ******* in the court. If by any chance you dont get satisfaction, move on. He is the loser, not you, you have only lost a few dollars, he has lost his ability to be little more than an animal.

Between the lines, it sounds to me like he has big money problems, I wouldn't be surprised if he shuts down soon. Just a thought, if you let the dust settle and suggest to him in a civil manner that he should let his liability insurance deal with the problem. (If he has any). Then its out of his hands and he doesnt have to go to court.
