1. Still better than being at work!

2. Still wish I was riding up there myself.

Heading home tomorrow, gonna save my vacation time

So disappointed... With future plans this was maybe my only chance to pull this off. :(
I know you must be disappointed Tony, but one thing I've learned, when you want something bad enough, we usually find a way.

Sorry to see it just wasn't possible this year Tony. I'm sure it won't elude you for too long though.

Look on the bright side though, the roads washed out before you got to Deadhorse, not after. Now THAT woulda screwed up your vacation time but good.

Bummer, dude. But I'm sure you know pulling the plug was the wise thing to do, or else you wouldn't have done it.

I have a feeling you'll make it work another time!

:(

That too bad. Looks like things are getting marginally better. The closed portion is now open (one lane) as of 7:30 last night.

Sucks Tony.

My kids are setting on the north end [Teslin] of the wash outs waiting for the damn road to open. They have been there since Friday. Even when the road opens all the the big rigs [aka supply trucks] from north and south go through first.

Sorry that didn't work out Tony but bank up some more vacation and you'll have time to do it again next summer perhaps? June or July are good times up to AK.

Oh, and hell I'll state the obvious that especially for you LD guys the Gen 2 is absolutely superior to the Gen 1 in every way that I can remember!

Wuss!

A true LD rider would have figured out a way around those road closures! You know - sneak around in the middle of the night when everyone is sleeping. Something like that.

:D

Sometimes you just got to let the misguided ******* have their delusions.........
I sense a disturbance in the Force...something about a Gen 2 FJR and Skooter's mad obsession with collecting as many as possible...

Sorry your ride didn't pan out Tony, but where there's a will, there's a way!

Jeez Tony, I read where some guys did a SS1000 from Prudhoe Bay to Homer. Stop being such a lightweight and do a Fairbanks-Deadhorse-Fairbanks SS1000. That'll knock at least a day off that sightseeing schedule you posted above :p

Seriously, good luck and I hope everything goes your way this time. I'll be following intently.
