What I discovered is that when fuel prices go from $3.89/gal in Cali, to $3.09 in AZ, NM, TX, AK, ect that I don't really care about fuel economy.
The smart-***** and fart knockers say, "You're welcome." :clapping:

But, I was SO looking forward to you reporting back that 45 mph (or whatever figure) was the optimal speed for gas mileage and associated data points....or at least that modern interstates and Texas are insane places to try measuring it. I guess it remains a mystery....unlike how many licks it takes to get to the

Edit: I see while I was typing this the OP did include a little real data before I posted.

On the way home from Phoenix this weekend, I stopped in Navajo AZ for my last fuel stop. 188 miles from there to my front door. My moving average for that stretch was 84 mph and I averaged 43mpg. You can't beat that with a stick...Even if you're a fart-knocker.

Wow! You rode in Alaska in November? I'm impressed! That should earn you a free anus shave from Bust - our own forum ****-less wonder. And how did you get there from Texas? Warp speed? Time travel? Transporter?

Yeah Man, if he's riding Alaska in November he is definitely as tough as rock-n-rolling, guitar playing, baby seal clubbing, whiskey drinking friend of Bust: our own Odot!

And Damned proud of it I might add!

Sendin' Gila my schedule of appointments for the next three months. Just find an open date and be here, I'll fix ya right up proper ;)

Yeah, usually the tires are flat, some of the siding is missing, and garbage is tossed in the front yard...

...but the confederate battle flag is usually in "like new" condition...because they love their ancestor's way of life so much...not because they are Klansmen... ;)
