The other version of the story is that I was in this biker bar, and I insulted one of the Harley tribe. He came at me with a knife and slashed my throat. I have the scar to prove it!
Pick the story you like best.

Congrats on being back on 2 wheels Jill. Oh, and I think you should embelish your story:

You made an off-hand comment about how your bike will go faster in 3rd gear than their bikes are capable of going at all. The Harley-dude pulled his switchblade out and slashed at your throat. Luckily, it was a Harley switchblade and after cutting you a little bit it pieces started to fall off it before he could kill you with it. That's when he pulled out his Harley pistol. You pointed out it was leaking oil but he tried to shoot it anyway. It backfired and scared him so bad he had to run to the store to buy some chrome and eagles to put on his gun.

I actually like Harleys and can see myself owning one one day. But, I will keep my FJR as my primary ride.

Ms. Penguini, glad to hear you're back up on the horse. You are my favorite fan. I look forward to meeting you some day. I'm from PV and want to get another ride back to the mother land, and the beaches I grew up on: Torrance, Manhattan, Redondo, Rat, etc.... Maybe see you around there some time.

[Why am I still writing like I'm in the 5th grade!? ]

Come on down - the weather is cooling this week and quite pleasant. Any excuse for a ride along Palos Verdes Drive, and coffee, seated outside at Starbucks, overlooking the ocean.

I'm sure we could field a quorum for an FJR party in Huntington Beach. Just let us know when you can be here. :)

Jill
