Pleased to report that my lawyer got my speeding ticket dismissed in Court today.

As much as I respect LEO's, this bike cop was certainly (IMHO) in a very dangerous position on I-5.

His two arms held upright, took my eyes off the road in mid corner. I believe that if I had not quickly shifted my eye balls "ahead" and where I wanted to go, then I could have impacted said Officer.

Anyway, it was a lesson learned and I am thankful my insurance and DL is intact.

Lastly, I was not going too fast..cough cough.... OK, trente cinq over!!

Ride safe,

Taff.

OK, good one! I didn't fair so well last week. Got stuck with traffic school. Once every 5 years or so, I can handle it, but any shorter period and I have had mucho problemos!

Sorry to hear that you didn't fair too well last week. My only comment about my ticket, when I had pulled over and the cop had arrived, was his question "why did I pull over"? Evading comes to mind. He admitted that he didn't tag me although he gave me my speed! Then he gives me a ticket..Poor man forgot to write where the infraction took place..ticket dismissed.....

I got caught for speeding on my way down to Leguna Seca by a CHP. Young man with no sense of humor at all... No traffic school for me as I was from "up further North". I need to take up knit work or something like that!

Now I must learn to ride more sedately   Turning 50 has made me more of a rebel (without a cause no less).

Take care and good luck,

Ride safe,

Taff. :clapping: :clapping: :yahoo: :yahoo:

CA lets you take online traffic schools with the same results if you're out of state. I did that a couple years back for a CHP delivered cite for +10 in a 55. You pay more, school fees, ticket, etc., but no notification to your home state and not on your record.

Thanks for the information.

I think that when our group of riders were nailed the 10+ was 40+ so we were not given the option of traffic school.

Yep, I am a bad boy but hey you only have one life right! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
