Hi all
I am in the process of mounting a pair of Piaa 1100 lights that I bought this last summer. I had the bright (or dunm) idea of mounting them on the mirror assemblies. They come with brackets and a bolt (washer and nut) M10 1.5 pitch. If I was to drill a hole on the mirror stand (just above the rubber base) and then tap it, is there enough metal there to support the bracket (i mean metal thickness). I can use rubber washers to minimize rubbing and vibration) Another idea would be to drill the hole and then insert one of those threaded rivnuts (https://staceydavid.com/node/4988?page=https://staceydavid.com/node/4988?page=)

Sorry, I can't get the bloody picture to show, I use picassa and I guess it doesn't work as photobucket!
Thanks
