For four extra years, added to the factory 1 year, for a total of five years, the $400 price is within 10-20 bucks of the D&H price, so that is a real good price from the dealer. Mine matched the D&H price after I showed them hard copy documentation on the pricing, but, hey, I wouldn't want to squabble with the dealer for 10-20 bucks. Good deal !

Have you started your farkle list yet ?

Sounds like the Ohio dealer works WITH people...wottah concept! You will enjoy the FUNtastic FJR, but take it easy getting used to her....definately different from your Triumph!!

Of course your Triumph is far different than the '57 6T Thunderbird Triumph I used to run outta MCB 29 Palms, CA many years ago, but it sure kept Skip Fordyce in Riverside, CA in business....and my wallet flat.

The '06 FJR is, IMO, the best all around motorcycle (out of 78) that I've ever owned or for that matter ridden. It is a very balanced package of power, ride, handling and brakes....plus it only needs and is happy with regular gas. My '06 is a noticeable improvement (except for the additional wt.) from my '03 "turkey cooker". The '03 was very good once I finally dialed in my suspension and the temps stayed below 70F. My '06, for me, has needed no twiddling with the multitude of suspension adjustments: from factory she has a much better ride and handling than my '03 ever did.

Enjoy that new BLUE '06 and Semper Fi + Merry Christmas!! DFO :)

I definately made a good choice with the FJR. I'll be keeping my Warrior but I'm really starting to enjoy this bike and seeing its capabilities.
That's what I said about my Shadow when I got my '04 but when 2 months had gone by and I hadn't touch it I knew it was time to send it to a good home. :D

(snip)Congrats on getting the fast color. Good choice! All things blue are worth waiting for.

If you laugh after reading this, you will be cursed for all eternity :D I plan to ride it, not play with it. I had a Concours before my Sprint and put about $3K into it in two years. I'm not sure what I put into the Sprint but probably at least as much, so my track record at keeping the farkle spending low hasn't been all that spectacular. I am getting frame sliders and Tankslappers for Christmas and I do have a minor list started:

1. Dale Walker headers and slip ons.

2. Power Commander III USB

3. Hyperpro fork springs

4. Race Tech Gold Valves

5. Ohlin or Wilbers Shock

I think that's a good start :yahoo:

Picked up Big Blue yesterday. Lancaster Sport Cycles is an all Yamaha shop. It has a sister shop in Athens, Ohio that sells about everything but Honda's. Great experience. One hour from in the door to on the trailer and headed home. Mechanic went over the bike with me from top to bottom. Would I recommend them?? Absolutely!!!!

That's just wrong...

DJ - congrats and good luck but you gotta promise never, ever to do that again. Can you imagine what would happen if that picture made it to a Hardly forum? Or worse, a BMW site? We'd never hear the end of it
