Guess I forgot step ZERO - verify that you have PLENTY of tire tread on your bike, front and back. 145 hp on those road is gonna cost you some rubber!!
Thanks I have heard that about those roads. Unfortunately I am bringing some guys that are unable or unwilling to ride like I like to ride so tire wear will be a little restricted. I have been burned at EOM a couple of years ago over not bringing enough rubber and won't let that happen again.

I have an extra kid because of something similar to the underlined statement......

On topic. You can ride how you want, that is what pull offs are for. Allen always waits for me at the next turn when he decides to ride away.

I actually thought I had enough on this trip, but 3 250+ days there riding like a hoon made me get a tire in Louisiana.

just dropped in and saw your thread. If you need some route advice let me know and I can drop by the hotel and scribble on a map for ya.

We would love some inside information I was hoping you would chime in as I have always envied your riding in your back yard. AR was my first out of state ride on a FJR several years ago and I have been chomping at the bit to get back. Three other firefighters and myself get off work in a couple minutes and we will be on our way. so we do not expect to get to Harrison until after 11:00 tonight. Oface gave me a couple of routes to start off with. One is a loop to the East to hit Push Mountain, One South loop to hit Oark Store, I might be dreaming on the next route but I made one for the third day to hit Mt Nebo and Magazine, and the fourth half day to the West to hit a Eureka Springs before we load up Friday afternoon.

We would love your local input and I would sure like to meet you and your welcome to ride with us if you have some free time. We will be at the Hampton Inn in Harrison. Well its just about 7:30 so I am out of here. Arkansas is waiting!

Lucky *******!...safe travels Kevin, have fun

and don't forget to stop for pictures.

I am hoping that by 11 tonite I am fast asleep after enjoying the NCAA championship game. However, I can stop by tomorrow morning and we can visit. Also I will bring a copy of my pre ride document that has some Arkansas specific info that may be beneficial. Just let me know approximately what time yall might be hanging in the lobby for breakfast.

C'ya
