Oh man, I just realized that moving the ride to Sunday means I will miss the Unlimited Class at the tractor pulls in my town this weekend.
So are the beams still in?
There will be all kinds of whining and crying until I get past Odell Rd and then I'll be fine  The real reason I go to the Pulls is simply for a photo op, something different to take pictures of. It is a challenge to shoot tractors and tell a story or capture it as an interesting event. It in no way is on the same scale as going for a motorcycle ride (even in the cold and rain).
I didn’t want to poke fun at the beams you never know what rural folk are into.. Fairs, Tractor pull.. Dancing around a fire in robes at the summer solstice  you just never know for sure.

Great that your coming! :yahoo:

We managed to pull off this little ride, including a pick-a-nic lunch. The predicted sunshine did not entirely show up but it was still A Fine Day Out. Our route had us wandering around the central lakes region of New Hampshire. The scenery was the destination. The day in no particular order:

A whole flotilla of Common Mergansers, the ones with a red head are females and the dark ones are males.

Thanks for the PICs and showing Dennis and I that wonderful road on are way back south.

I will be getting one of them fancy GPS du-dads before I try to lead my next pick-up ride.

The Park we crashed was a great spot for lunch. So what if it was technically unavailable! :D

What! That was my scheduled landry mat stop. I had to make sure my delicates got sorted properly.

Thanks Fred for getting us to the state park..

Hi all,

Had a great time yesterday. Was a nice ride, picnic (great chowder from MarFJR and great sandwiches from the 'Beams), great scenery (would be pretty fantastic during peak leaf peeping season).

Glad I finally got a chance to inquire about the headlight adjusting knob at the first stop. Once I got home, I ate/drank/floppedOnCouch, then got up and removed panels A and B and promptly disabled the windshield auto retract feature. (Never was able to get panel B before).

I then went on to see if I could change my light bulb on the right side (that one's supposed to be the hardest to do); I found out that I can so I installed an H4 HID bulb I had laying around downstairs from a previous bike. I had an old ballast/ignitor and installed that too. I tucked the ignitor in a corner up front and then tucked the ballast in a pocket on the rear of the A panel and drove around tonight. I liked the white light (even if it's just one side).

I've two H4 HID bulbs on the way for tomorrow but I'm shy a ballast/ignitor. I may just leave things as is right now given that it's a work week.

And hey thanks for that pic of me Helen -- I don't think I have a shot at that angle. :)

Dennis
