Although the black paint makes the shield worthless for rain, I use it during nice weather, local riding, and put my Vstream on for trips or bad weather.

I have been thinking of putting some of the reflective black on my 2008, so they showed up when lit.

Not sure how it would look though...

Maybe sweet, maybe just :blink: .

That's actually probably the nicest looking '08 I have seen so far. Sometimes I like those stripes and sometimes I don't, but they really seemed to work here. Good job.

Your bike looks super cool!! Great Pics!! Your stripes look great!! I am partial to my modified (premiere) bag stripes over the standard premiere designed bag stripes. So I did a quick (sloppy) edit job of your pic for a side by side look...

I like the way my modified bag stripes mimic the fairing stripes.

What do ya think? My link below (in my signature line) has a bunch of pics of how they look on my 07.

Thanks. I found myself doubting the stripe job right after I did it because I was starting to really like the pure black look on the bags, but now the stripe job is growing on me.

Actually, your bike pics are what inspired me to stripe mine. A few months ago, I was looking to buy an '07 and set it up like yours, but I ended up with the '08 and figured what the hell, stripe it anyways. I do like your modified bag stripes. Where did you get the material to do it?

I also used touch up paint to blacken the silver fairing screws (circled in orange in pic below), and I painted the tank filler screws also.

I like that look too. Sort of subdued, ghost like accents. Looks great lit up at nite!

The guys at premiere cut my modified bag stripes also. I gave them the pattern, and they did them up on their computer. They told me that they would keep the pattern on file and that I (anyone) could order them in the future that way again.

Your bike looks great. Both bag stripes kits are very nice.

Lookin' real good there, Jay.

I had to put those stripes on my (ya old) '04 bags to add some side visibility, especially at night.

They look real nice.
