Glad you found the picture. This was also my first motorcycle, with a jake brake too. Then I had a '81 YZ 125. Oh the memories... :clapping: :yahoo:Here was my first Yami... A 1974 mx 100 A.. It was a great bike for a kid to have.. Smitty
That brings back memories Jill. I was into dirt bikes so never had a moped. My mates had Fizzies, Honda SS50's Garelli tiger cross's and one had a Gillera. Do you remember any of them?Obviously it's not me in the photo (I don't have a digital image of my own bike) but this looks like the bike I had from 1975-1978. It's a Yamaha FS1-E, known as the Fizzy. The 49cc sport moped was legal to be ridden by a 16yr old yet capable of around 70mph if you really wrung it's neck. I put one heck of a lot of miles on that little bike before graduating to a 'big' Honda CB200 when I was 17.Jill
Yes. I remember them all, except the Gilera. Andy had a Puch Grand Prix. That brings back memories Jill. I was into dirt bikes so never had a moped. My mates had Fizzies, Honda SS50's Garelli tiger cross's and one had a Gillera. Do you remember any of them?
If you look closely you can also identify those cool loafers to.My second bike (1st one a Cushman scooter) was this 80cc Yamaha that I saved up for in 1965. Picture was taken when new and fender was out to be chromed . . .

I resembled that remark ! My Mom moved from Beach area of So Cal to Oklahoma City when I was 13, talk about losing your identity, from surfer sandals to cowboy boots , thought I was gonna die until motorcycles consumed me !If you look closely you can also identify those cool loafers to.That was a typical setup for nerds of that time period for which I was also one.
