Rob's right. Best road of the trip was Route 16 - thanks to Jim for the suggestion!

Here's a pic of a little road we stumbled upon on the way to the Dragon.

You had alerted me to 16 on Saturday afternoon and I should have jumped off 81 on the way home! Shame on me!

I'm still about 700 miles from home - near Roanoke VA - plan on getting home Wed. and have two tasks to do. Wash the poor bike and edit/upload pics. Oh, and laundry.

But you shouldn't have stopped at Tazewell.... You should have carried on north on 16 to Pineville and then to Beckley. And then you could have taken 19 out to I 79

I will offer a Certificate for Arizona Redemption for a free cerveza mas frio y un carne tamale for anyone that posts the first EOM picture of HotRodZilla soaking wet, with rainwater dripping off of his helmet. Or better yet, water over his boot tops!!!

I will use this picture as my screensaver until Badcat, I and others leave for Southwest FOG in dry eighty degree weather!!!

I finally got to do a trip 2 up with the wife.

1300 miles in 3 days. with about 700 in the rain

Al, GA, NC, TN, And VA.

love the Appalachians, even if they are wet

The wife was shooting all of these over my shoulder till the batteries died

the pavement ended abruptly several times and we found ourselves on muddy roads

You know the weather sucks if you and the wife are the only bike (or car) at deals gap

The scenery was beautiful

I like the Snake better than the dragon though, better rhythm and elevation changes

Fubar, you are absolutely the Photo Winner! Keep my cell phone number of 480-440-4666 handy and if you are ever near Phoenix my friend, lunch is on Chuy Medina "El Burrito Ballerina" Tres pork tamales and your choice of cerveza Mexicana!

Atencion Southwesterners: Look at this pinche Albuquerque Armadillo getting soggy, when he could've been dry at SW-FOG!

Fencer, Who the hell did your route planning?? General Abrams?

Running out of pavement, crossing flood waters, chased by dogs... Dude, get a Jeep!

Good to see you at the EOM!! Cheers!

Man it sucks that i missed all the fun... Glad to see everyone had a great time, Even if it was wet! :clapping:
