:yahoo: Patience. I'm looking forward to putting those Michelins on when they arrive and with a little luck I will wear them out this year.

Thanks, Toe, for your work. :yahoo:

I'm looking forward to getting my tire machine mounted to my garage floor, so I don't have to pay anybody else to screw up my bike anymore.

I know how you feel, if anyones gonna screw up my bike it's gonna be me.

Update:

Vendor says they split his shipment. He got the fronts, and a few rears, but not sure if there were any 180's in there. He has to leave tomorrow at noon for Bike Week, so he's trying to get someone trustworthy to wait at his shop, in case the truck comes tomorrow afternoon. I gotta remember to call him tomorrow before noon.

He said if he found any 180's, he would start shipping them out. Once he prints the shipping label, the customer should get an email that shipping has been initiated. He'll be sending them out in the order they were originally paid for, so has anybody gotten an email yet with any tracking info?

If the truck with the rest of the tires shows tomorrow, they'll be shipped out starting Monday. Oh, the joy of group buys....

He earlier stated that anybody who wants to come in can also get their tires mounted at his shop in Florida, for a modest charge. For the location, visit the link in your email payment instructions or PM me.

Oh, the joy of group buys....
Haven't seen any angry mobs around these parts and anyone who's been shopping these knows they've been a little hard to come by recently. A delay was inevitable.....a bit frustrating and totally sucky, sure......but inevitable nonetheless :glare:

It's all good and we're still grateful to you for putting it together

gunny! :clapping: :clapping:

Made an interesting phone call yesterday to the vendor, just before noon, his time. Phone girl asked my name, then a long pause, and Jeff gets on the phone.

"Man, we just had a tornado come through here."

He didn't know if his house was hit, and his wife was at her job, no power at the shop. He said his shop was not noticeably damaged, but dozens of homes in the area were missing their roofs.

He probably won't be going to Bike Week, but there had been no truckload of Michelin's at that point, so I'll call him Monday. I hope his home is alright, but many aren't, today in Florida.

Wow. Now I feel guilty for asking about my tires. I saw the footage on the news...prayers to everyone affected.

Toe, you tell him to focus on getting his life back together - that's what's important.

I hope he and his family are ok.

The tires can wait. No rush from this end.

What I told him was, "Ya know, I've heard some pretty weak excuses in my time...."

J/K

I'll call him Monday and convey our sentiments for a positive outcome.

First things first. The man needs to make sure his family is safe and taken care of. The tires can wait.

No massive rush on the tires needed here.

I just hope the man's family, home and business are OK.

I have every confidence the tires will be in my hands by May and I will receive a notice when they are being shipped so I can look for the arrival of the UPS man.

Thanks again Toe for your great work in setting this up for the group and keeping us up to date on developements.

Scott

Tornado be damned, I want my tires! What, no D/R site for tire shipping? Jeez.....

Kidding, of course. What a terrible circumstance. :(

I was going to get another update today, but got sidetracked. Eve's closest surviving non-sibling relative is dying at home, which is where we were all day, and my dad passed last night. Not a good week, except for excuses....I'll try again tomorrow, mostly to find out if Jeff's home was spared.

HOLY CRAP, TOE!!! :( I'm really sorry to hear that. Please let me know if you want me to take over communication on the group buy (or anything else, for that matter) while you take care of family biz. I'm happy to do it and it's one less thing for you to have to think about. Really.
