I just checked out the original thread and found it had been closed(?)....and I haven't received confirmation that they even shipped yet

Has anyone received shipping notification yet?

Trust the Toe B)
Hey Silent, ever watch the TV show "Wiseguy" with Kevin Spacey playing Mel Profitt?

"The Profitts rule an empire of drugs, gun running, and vice from the deck of a splendid yacht cruising off the coast of Vancouver. Susan is a stunning beauty, and Vinnie finds himself under her spell. Mel…Mel is a completely different story. Can anyone or anything keep a lid on the time bomb known as Mel Profitt? Only the toes knows…"

My understanding of Toe's last report is that we will hear from the vendor. If not today then early next week. I think the vendor received the shipment yesterday and needs time to handle the out going shipments. I have purchased from this vendor before and they have been faster than I expected.

We trust the Toe :clapping: ...just lookin for a place to hear when they start shippin...
Right in the money, Mark. With the original thread being closed, there was no other way to get shipping updates. It has nothing at all to do with the outstanding job Toecutter did putting it together.

Note to HYCLE: Calling Susan Profitt (Joan Severance) :dribble: a "stunning beauty" is a bit of an understatement; kind of like calling the FJR a "really neat motorcycle" ;)

As of today none of the distributors have them in our size. Bummer , I've been waiting a couple of weeks for them also but went with PRs for the trip next week .

I have a call in to the vendor at this time. When we last spoke, he said that email notifications would go out to each individual purchaser, in order of their original payment. IOW, first paid, first shipped.

He expected to be able to ship about 20 sets per day. With the original buy and recent add-on, we purchased about 60 sets as a group.

I'm not sure yet if he's even received the shipment from his supplier yet, but he's supposed to call me back.

One more thing:

IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY PAID FOR YOUR TIRES, PLEASE DON'T. YOU MISSED OUT.

The amount of tires alotted to us was determined by how many people paid before the original Feb. 14th deadline. The extra sets in the second batch was determined by how many were already spoken for by being paid for. If you didn't pay for yours, they didn't get ordered.

Update- His assistant called me back and said they had not yet received the tire shipment yet, so they expect it to arrive Monday or Tuesday (of next week). That means nobody will hear from him until Tuesday at the earliest, as no tires will be shipped out the same day they arrive. He has to unload and check in about 500 tires, so he won't be able to start shipping them to us until the day after they arrive, at the earliest.

I'll update this topic as I get more info. I'll try to call him again Monday afternoon to see if the shipment arrived, but I'm gonna be at work, so no promises 'til Tuesday....

I'm not in on this at all but certainly appreciate the effort put forth by TC. I get my tires (& most non OEM stuff) from a bike shop I use to work at years ago. I've known the owner & manager for over 30 years & ride with the manager many, many miles a year. They deal with the major suppliers (2 IIRC) for Michelin.

There are a few out there... I was able to track down a set yesterday at a local dealer to spoon on before riding out to Big Bend next week... paid more for them than you guys will via Toe's GB, but getting what you want immediately usually has a price.

Update:

Just spoke to the supplier. Still no tires, but he did receive a shipment of non-Michelin stuff today. He's still expecting the Michelin's to arrive in the next couple of days, and promised me a call when he gets them in. He has extra help on standby, and a standing order for a UPS feeder truck, in order to hopefully get them all shipped out by the following day.

Sorry for this starting to sound like a looped recording, but the original timeline was to get them shipped out to us by the first week of March, so it still looks good.

I'll be back!

Thanks for the update Toe. It looks to me like the delay is with Michelin. My local distributor has had orders in since before you put this together and his delivery date has continued to slip on him, also. Guess I'll have to put something else on since my rear tire is finished.

Thanks again for keeping us posted.

Yeah, sorry about that. This deal was geared more toward folks who are still in the garage for winter, and those not in critical status. Try the new Dunlop's! We need some more beta testers.
