Yesterdays mail brought a sales flyer from Cyclegear.com (1-800-292-5343) do not know them, have not done business with them, however they are advertising a set of Pirelli Diablos 120/70ZR-17 +180

/55ZR-17 for 189.99 until 5/8/12. I know zero about Pirellis but thought I would pass it along, seems like inexpensive rubber.

I believe these tires were made for "Buell" before they went out of business? The factory has a shitload to get rid of and they are being offered by m/c dealers and distributors around the world. My riding buddy bought some here in Canada but they don't last very long? Mileage wise! I will stay with my PR2's or 3's.

Weren't the Diablos replaced by Rossos a year or 2 ago? If so, the Diablos are probably getting a little on the old side. But...you'll probably only get 3 or 4k miles out of them anyway.

Go easy on those things when you first mount them. I have a set on my FZ1, and the rear end slides around quite a bit, especially when cold. Might be less of an issue with a heavier bike, but due to the performance on my FZ1, I said no.

As far as cycle gear as a reliable store, they are great. They have a store here in Louisville, KY and I've been there many times.
