Already PM'd you that I'm in...for at least one. But please no gray cover, after one road trip it'll look like crap.

Yes, the grey will show up dirt and bugs easier than black, but on a gentle wash cycle should be back to looking like new in no time. Or you could wait for the first rain storm heading your way. :D

Don't worry, black is staying on the menu, very durable look/feeling material as well.

My (sorta) gray bike still looks good long after the blue ones are showing muey dust & grime. Maybe fabric is different? My suit gets dirty, I wash it, good as new...I want a gray one! It should be in that area where I seldom have any bug strikes anyway.

I had nylon/cordura coolers strapped on the passenger boards of my Goldwing and even with all the protection that bike offers they still looked like crap after a couple road trips, not from bugs but everyday road grime...looked nasty, but they did their job.

I voted for black as the outer color. I'd like to change that vote to gray. Can an admin do that??? If not, please consider one more vote for the gray & one less for black.

Here are the options for the outer case colors. All material is 1000 denier cordura. B)

There are several choices available and in a few different combinations. For instance the material above the zipper could be of a different color than sits below, to create a rim per say. So for instance a black base with grey rim, or grey base with blue rim above, blue base with grey rim above and so on. Hope you get the idea here. Somehow between us we can come up with a few choices and stick with them. BTW, no extra charge for any color combinations. :yahoo:

So after looking at these for a while, here's what I think will look pretty good on the bike.

The grey material looks like it was designed for the Cerulean Silver, damn near a perfect match!

The Grey material with a blue rim above will also look real sharp. (I may go this route)

Black base material with a blue rim above, also will not look out of place.

The blue material will go very nice with the '06 A model.

Blue base material with a grey rim above, also will look sharp.

Hopefully with the photo's below you can imagine what I am trying to get at here with color combinations.

All colors together. The blue is better represented in the above picture than in this one.

Hmmm.... ya know, that yellow just really doesn't match my Hi-Viz Stitch - in fact, it might clash at first, until it gets like ... oh ... 73 miles on it -

and then it should match -

Actually, I think all black will work.

I just finished road testing this unit and here are the results I have. I initially filled the jug with ice at 7.00am and then added as much gatorade as I could. After re-filling with unchilled fluids 1 other time previous during the day, I snapped the following photo at 4:47pm (almost 10 hours later)

Then at 10:43pm (almost 16hrs later) I shot this photo before re-filling again. You can see the ice cubes have gotten smaller, but their still hanging in there.

Between the time the ride was over and when I first added ice, around 21hrs later, the ice was gone, but the gatorade was still cold. I know we aren't in the high heat season here right now, but I am happy with how the prototype has performed. Normally if I was at a gas station, I would be re-filling with ice, but I wanted to see how long I could keep the liquid contents cold with only one serving of ice.

I did not experience any ill-effects of handling while navigating the high sierra Pass Hwy108, or any issues related to wind during a long high speed Nevada desert run. (I mean closed course circuit) :D

Will your sewing person also do custom embroidery?

e.g.: "FJR"

forum handles

"Bug Juice"

"Poison"

...etc...on the lid? (for an extra cost of course)

If the color of the bag is black, it will get much hotter in the sun than a lighter color such as grey. I prefer the grey.
