Well, I had my second post-crash check-up yesterday. The fluid around the left lung is gone. The lung is progressing nicely and has pretty much passed the might-get-pneumonia stage. The spleen is prolly at 90%. All the ribs have at least rejoined and formed "callus's," which is what they make before they turn back into bone. At least they have stopped the audible popping from the movement of breathing. The doc said the massive trama would be detectable as still-healing for up to 18 months. My left shoulder is still pretty much forked-up, but it doesn't hurt when I hold the handlebars so, oh, well. I'll give it some time before I go checking with the orthopedic dude. The knees get stiff easy but the women say they like my new "swagger." I do have some memory issues. I still can't remember the crash and there are a lot of little things that I can't remember. I do things that I have never done before such as forget my watch, or my phone, or my comb. And there are some minor things from work that I don't remember anymore. The doc said that this is common. He said I will probably never remember the crash and the other things may get better, may not. It's like some things on my sub-conscious list of daily to-do's have been rearranged or erased. He also said that I will now and forever know when the weather is going to change. Feel free to call for forcasts.

Hell, Scab, I forget stuff like that and I don't have an excuse  I'm really glad that you appear to be making satifactory progress. Good to know that you can still run around on two wheels.

Yo, RangerK9, it's your birthday! You should be sucking down a celebratory cold brew as we speak! Happy birthday, man!

Good to here you are getting back to normal.

I am not sure forgetting things is a bad side effect. If you don't fell like mowing the lawn you have a "I forgot" excuse all lined up. Or, "Dang I am sorry I forgot your birthday".

Continue to heal, son. That memory thing's not all it's cracked up to be anyway. Heck, I haven't been in a recent crash and still I recently learned that cell phones don't survive if you forget to take them out of your pocket before doing the laundry.

Maybe I have memory issues, or I'm just not paying close enough attention. Sorry to hear about this. I hope you and your two-wheeler(s) are back to 5-by-5 ASAP.

Good to hear you're mending bro'. BTW... I thought I overheard your Guardian Angel asking God for a transfer to a Marine in Iraq... she felt it would much easier.

Oh, and to answer your PM... I still don't know how long the bike will be in for repairs.

Later.

Good news my Friend! Glad the report was positive.

BTW: In case you forgot, your going to EOM and we're still splitting a room! :p

Glad to hear your doing much better. As for the memory thing, well, they say the memory is the second thing to go, be damned if I can remember the first.
