I'll start off....

As most all of y'all know, I recently acquired last year's Sportsbike of the Year: the Almighty YZF-R1! Words can't do justice describing this machine, but I'll try when I write up my "1000-mile Report" soon.

The other Love of my Life is this STUNNING 2000 Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird (in gorgeous Metallic Titanium paint!):

It's not a current warp speed liter bike, but I also have a Blackbird -- a black '97. (One of these days I'll take the time to learn how to post pics.)

BTW, sorry I didn't get to meet you at Hookers XX. I met up with the pass riding contingents on Friday and Saturday and never got up to Reno. Then I ran into Birdrunner on Sunday by chance in Virginia City before his fateful ride to Colorado. (I was amusing myself on the truck route from 50 to Virginia City that morning.) I live in South Lake Tahoe, and my GF lives in Gardnerville (12 miles south of Carson City), where I'm in the process of moving over the course of July and August. I didn't find out about the meet until a week before, but if you do it again next year, I'm getting a room at the hotel with GF and will see you there. Great folks, and I had a blast riding the passes in my backyard with a bunch of birds.

BTW, I envy you that R1 -- you seem to have the road bike part of your garage well filled out.

Don't have a sport bike yet... but swapped bikes with someone on a "spirited" ride a little while back. He had a new Gixxer 1k with full Yosh exhaust... 2 words... HOLY SHIT!

well when i get tired of the fjr i roll out the little kawi zzr600 for fun and it's a blast.Ignacio we need to meet up in north ga.You on the little honda squiker and have some fun.Read your post on the utah ride sounds like you had a good expeirience and learned a little to.

My other bike is a Bandit 1200s..Does that count as sport bike? inquiring minds need to know.

The suspension a LPE set up and Holeshot goodies and Yosh exhaust make this something that loves to go crusier hunting. Lots of good days in the Serrias.
