For some unknown reason I posted on the ride report forum about having a group ride next saturday --1-28-06 for those that are interested,

It was clearly a mistake on my part , so please go there and check for Information about the ride.

Hope I do not make this mistake again. I also hope I do not end up like that referee and get a rock thrown thru his window by some angry rider not known by any one that was just pssing through

Weekend Riders Post from the ride planning section :cownoy:

Well it looks like the weather may change for the better next weekend. Are their any riders out there that would be interested in a group ride on January 28, 2005? That would be a saturday.
The area that I would be riding would be toward Winters, Napa, Middletown, Lower Lake, Cache Creek and back to Woodland than home for the distance riders. Distance around 200 miles plus.

Bike Effect I hope you can make it and also help out with the area for riding.

I would like this to be a no set route, just twist the throttle and follow the lead rider, comments welcomed? We can stop for either breakfast or lunch, some where on the ride.

For riders comming out of town, the meeting point would be the

Raleys Shoping Center at road 98 and main st on the west side of town.

There is a starbucks there for some warm me up coffee or ?.

When heading north on I-5 take the second exit for Woodland bear left at light you will pass a Valero gas station a Dennys and keep going about three miles it will be the last four way stop with lights on your left is the shopping center. road 98 and main st or (hwy 16 its former name)

Bike Effect, If you would like we can meet you at Moskawicks corner 128/121 so you wont have to ride the same road twice, its your call.

I will check the board tomorrow and see where we stand.

Thanks weekend rider

Sounds like a good plan for me! Being the lazy type, I'll meet you at Moskowite Corner (Hwy 121 & 128 intersection).

What do you estimate the rendezvous time at that point would be?

I rode to Moskowite this morning for coffee and I can tell you that the roads are MUCH better than two weeks ago.

I think we'll be up for this -- I just have to make sure that I turn 12,000 miles around the time that another paycheck comes in

Well, Sherri is in yet another class for the weekend of the 28th. Therefore, I will be alone again, but this time I can bring the camera!

This time Sherri gets to learn the "Jungle Creatures and Plants" theme. First butterflies, then human faces, now jungle critters and plants. It's pretty cool what can be done with glass.

Even cooler to go riding with friends on a weekend!

I'll see you at the Starbucks Bob.

That sidewalk art ROCKS!!! Where is that from?

Here is an example of the type of work that she has been, and will be learning to do. Notice the butterfly. She made one that is blue...and she made a paperweight. She hasn't made a kick butt rose like this though:

Cya there for a kickstand up maneuver at 8:15

You guys have a good time. I don't get off work until 8:00am Saturday and about 200 miles away. Besides, I really need to do some farkling and get a new front tire before we can hit the road in earnest again.

I'll figure on you guys rolling in to Moskowite Corners at 09:00 on Saturday. I should have one more member (don't know his forum handle....he is a non poster) with me on an '05. I will, of course, be on the sleek '03 model.

That's some beautiful work she has there. The sidewalk art I found while cleaning up my fav's, I'll start a fresh thread in Off Topic with more and a link.

I have to check with the boss, but if it is not raining, I should be there, but don't wait for me. I'm coming in from Cameron Park on a farklized '05.

0520 1/27: Cancel me out due to rain. I only ride in rain on purpose to get home from work (12 miles).

Any chance you could move this to sunday 1/28? - the forecast is more favorable, yes?

I will be there with plenty of time for the 8:15 (sharp) departure from the Starbucks.

Soooo, you guys like riding in the rain, or what?

I have to be in San Jose this weekend, or I'd try and be there, too. Have fun.

I would like for everyone that is riding that it might be a little wet on saturday.

So if any riders that are going think that there might be to much rain for safety reasons please post and would like to do the same ride on Sunday the 29. Same time schedule same locations for start for meeting the riders

It is to be a good day sunday no rain just let me know. I can ride either day and wet weather does not bother me for riding . I want everyone to have a good time not a wet time. :haha: :haha:

weekend rider

I will check for post tonight to see what everones reply is and get back

Based on all weather reports it is to really dump a whole lot of rain tomorrow.

So that being the case I am changing the ride day from the saturday the 28th. to sunday the 29th. . Same start times, same start locations and same locations to meet other riders along the way.

Sorry for the inconveince but I can not control the weather Hope to see everyone that planned to go and any thers that were thinking about it .

:p :p :p :p :p :p :p

thanks for your understanding weekend rider :D
