A bunch of pre-1915 bike nuts held a rally of sorts in beautiful downtown Atasacadero, CA. Thought I'd go, take some pix and share them with ya'll. Most of the guys had already left to go (gasp) ride their bikes. It was fun to see all the tool boxes, gallons of Delo oil, dirty rags, and empty booze bottles in the parking lot

Can you imagine how much fun these motor bikes would have brought you if you had one back in the day? Cars too expensive, roads not worth a crap.. and bikes, oh my, in the wind, to hell with caution and down the bumpy dirt road to my ladies house I ride tonight! Great stuff, and these guys really had the spirit.

How many of 'em rode there?
MOST of them, Toe. This was not the mooseum 'oh crap can't ride it will get dirty' group'. These guys were die-hard ride them there, do a big loop, then ride them home types. I saw these guys in Avila Beach, Pismo Beach, and one brave soul running 229 to Creston. Of course I bought that boy a beer. :yahoo: . Most did have support vehicles at the hotel, which is fair, considering that only HD still provides parts, the other guys are SOL.. and many came from your neck of the woods, and I saw Utah, Wyoming, and Montana plates in the parking lot..

I say good for these guys! They are RIDING the history, not just stuffing them into some museum..
