Press Intro For 06 FJR

My contact at Yamaha told me that the worldwide press intro for the 06 FJR will be in South Africa in March/April. The magazines that I write for are too far down on the moto food chain to be invited (can you say “Cycle World or Motorcyclist?”). I’m sure that Yamaha wants to maximize the “ink” to be had when introducing new technology (electric shift). There may be an additional press intro in the U.S. this spring—I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Electronic shift, too. You don't get to move the shift drum with your foot- you get to activate a switch that tells the ECU to do that (after it does it's thing with the clutch).
