Just got my FJR a month ago and love it but it's much heavier than my old bike. If I were to head-in to a parking space on any kind of downslope I'm not going to be able to get it back out. Just curious if anybody's had this problem and how they dealt with it.

I don't park on downslopes. At 5'7", that just isn't an option for me. Ride around until you find a better spot....or....if you have the time, back into the downslope spot.

Flatlanders.... I didn't know NJ had down slopes

Back it in every time and park it on the side stand.

OR get a Wing with reverse

Good advice already provided, (with an obvious exception) but also keep an eye out for sand and other loose material where you park.

Surly, love the sound of a wide open 2-stroke!

MEM, you would only want forward pushes!

Jesus Christ...Walk it backwards while off the bike. You seriously can't figure that out on your own? How do some people figure out how to get to work every morning?

What's next? I left the toilet paper in the upstairs bathroom, took a dump and realized I'm outta paper downstairs. Now what do I do?? Hurry...My legs are going numb!

Bust hit that bad boy on the head!!

Tip:

When you have to push it backwards while seated on the bike. Reach around and grab the rail under your *** with one hand. You'll get better leverage and keep yourself from rising off the seat when trying to give it a push.

Not that I ever had any problems with it :)

Make sure the side stand will be on the uphill side and back in. Nothing like putting the side stand down, letting the bike lean over and realizing it is going to keep on going because the hill slopes down on the right side.

Yes!! Made it into NEPRT with my first post.

You're happy about that? OK, here's your new sign then. We'll see if you make it past 3 posts. Do you know starcruiser/down2?

Did I read that right? Make sure the side stand is on the uphill side? If the slope is so bad I can't put the side stand on the downhill side I'll park somewhere else.

Yeah, no ****...Let's park the FJR with the kickstand uphill. That way it falls over.

Honest to God...If you can't get this bike off the kickstand, walk away from the men's toys and go buy a frigging scooter.

For ****'s sake!
