Recently purchased one of these Radar thingies and noticed the cord end looked pretty much like a bullseye for the first raindrop to fall. How to add a little protection?

I first wrapped in saran wrap, a thin membrane that would cling pretty tightly around the end. I was in the middle of re-doing some of the electrical on my bike, and so I had some of that liquid tape on hand for the connections. After two coats I then fashioned a wire tie into a hook shape around the end of the cord and dipped it a couple of more times.

This is what I came up with. Time will tell if it holds up and spares me from buying another cord.

BTW...that shelf will be in my next thread.

I just finished replacing that cord for my Redline. They do wear out due to the constant plugging and unplugging. For protection I use a sturdy little parts Baggie. I put the cord that goes to the Marc Parnes LED light from the headphone jack in there too. I tie it with a rubber band and it works quite well.

I refused to pay Escort $20 for a replacement cord so I took a spare phone cord I had laying around and spliced it to a spare SAE pigtail. I connected it to the the pigtail for my battery tender. It works great and it was FREE. :)

Looks pretty good Mike I think it'll last a season or so.. Now can you make one big enough to fit over AJ's head?
