This sounds great. But as I've only joined the forum recently and haven't been on a group ride yet I have some questions.
How many miles are we talking about?

Frequent stops? Pics, pee, etc...

Do you email the route?

What's the pace, leisurely?

Sorry for the newbie questions... PM me please.

FJJ'sR
No worries...all questions are welcome so I'll see if I can provide some adequate answers.

Most likely we'll ride at least 200 miles.

We'll make stops but prolly not frequent...meet for breakfast...make a stop before lunch somewhere...fuel stop...photo stop...then home.

Something along those lines but nothing is set in concrete, we can accommodate situations as they arise.

Once the route is agreed upon I or whoever will post it here for all to see.

Pace can be a relative thing, but no one will be left behind & no one should ever ride out of their comfort zone or their capabilities. We'll have a

preliminary ride discussion as a group prior to departing.

Hope that helps.

Others please feel free to comment.

You best take some pics so we can ogle your, um, adventures too!! B)
I'm sure we'll be able to fulfill your request. :)

Hoo boy. If'n we go Sconnie, in order.

Couple hunnert, maybe, probably, HA!, everyones a n00b, at least for the first 10 minutes wit Webby! :p
You said that sooo much better than I. ;)

Are you cleared to ride in WI yet?
Nope.

****! That reminds me... I've gotta get that taken care of in the next two weeks. Flood Run 2009 is Saturday April 18th. Wanna bet I wait until the 17th before I start looking into what's involved?

Let me know if you need a chauffeur. :D

No I want to feel your see-ers... no wait... that didn't come out right.
All you have to do is come to Minnesota. :bb:

There was this gentleman from Prescott WI...
Do you pronounce the whole state name, or just the letters, like "doubleyew eye," or do just try to pronounce the abbreviation, like "weee," cuz that would kind of affect the rest of this limerick? I'll just wait for an answer before I try to compose the next line.

Or I suppose I could just do, um, "an electrician who came over and put my new sconce in,"

Or, "who couldn't do squat thrusts cuz he had rubbery thighs,"

Or, "Who was only about half as tall as me,"

See, I just can't do it till I know what I gotta rhyme with. Thanks.

Ok I'm having fun reading between the lines on this pace question. Let me see if I have it straight...

Pace is relative... (to skill?)

The group onced dumped a gentleman from Prescott... For riding a too leisurely pace?

One of our party may have warrants in 'sconnie... Geez, I wonder how that happened?

...and our personal police escort will be WAAAY out in front hanging us slow geezers out to dry with the local constabulary.

That's REALLY confidence inspiring to someone who wants to ride a leisurely pace.

Don't worry about pace FJJs'R, there ain't no one in this group slower than me, and I'll let you ride sweep with me.

Having met, ridden with, or corresponded with many of the good folks here, I think you will all be well taken care of. It's about the experience, the sights, the sounds, the camraderie. Ride your own ride. PERIOD. There is always someone to connect up with. :)

For me, The "gentelman from Prescott, WI"... Pace has more to do with keeping my drivers license and insurance. I live here, and every weekend I see people from MN being awarded good driving certificates. I didn't want to make others feel like they had to always wait for me, but I don't drive that fast here. I had a good day that day. I enjoyed my ride even if I was solo. I had fun!! Feel free to come back to WI and ride!!! I won't slow you down...

I felt bad what had happened with rammer9460 & it should never have ended up that way...you're a good man Eric for not letting others influence how you like to ride & for keeping a sense of humor about the it.

And you still manage to keep up & have fun. :yahoo:

If there is going to be as large of a group as it looks like it's going to be, 250 miles of continuous "spirited" riding is not going to be a possibility for everyone. I'll stay with the slower group so no one gets left behind & we can have designated meet locations along the way if need be. The goal here is to meet new people and have a enjoyable safe ride, we're not out to meet the local law enforcement no matter how beautiful & accommodating they are. :evilsmiley03:

Just wondering what the testosterone level of the group is and the need for speed and devilishness is.

Thanks, it sounds like a lot of fun. I'll definitely try to make it.

FJJ'sR.

You guys keep Webby yakkin about his exploits or ask to see whats new on his phone or somethin, I'll yank one of his plug wires.

OK pace issue resolved. Ride your own ride, PERIOD! Sorry for any pot-stirring on my part.

On to more important issues. Where are we eating breakfast!

As soon as we figure out where we're going we can decide on where to eat breakfast...ah last one there has to buy tho.

If there is going to be a "slow" group, I'm in!

One of my favorite rides is... please feel fre to follow along here on map 58-59 of your DeLorme WI gazetteer...

1. out wi-10 from Prescott

2. right on cr-O to wi-35

3. left on wi-35 to cr-A

4. left on cr-A to wi-10

5. right on wi-10 to Plum City.

6. stop at Plum City to feed the trout/ducks, pee, get pop.

7. from Plum City head south on cr-U

8. follow U to cr-CC

9. left on cr-CC to cr-SS

10. take cr-SS past the Porcupine Cemetary to cr-D (right turn)

11. take cr-D to cr-N to Pepin

from there? up 25 to Durand then east on any non-numbered road.

I would like to do lunch someday at Hansen's Hold-up an Arcadia, WI.

But I'm open to anything

Erik.
