Hey SilveradoSlick,

After turning left there will be a Chevron station on your right (4316 Town Center Blvd.) Be there at 6:00 so you'll have time to gas up and say howdy before we leave at 6:15.
I'm with ya but flying solo.

For those who are fearless in the face of forest rats on Salmon Falls Rd.:
Just moving pylons up here … the reason I opted for ABS. Ride with the peripheral vision cranked to full!

Just for the record, Catherine and I are not faster than MM2 at his ride leading pace, but we can usually keep up.

I'm glad you posted this info. I was thinking of the station in front of Raleys, on the North side of Hwy 50. NOW I know where we're going to start following Catherine.

Uhm, just for the record, I "followed" (chased, saw some dust, noticed a shadow or two, saw the bushes moving at the side of the road) Charles down the twisties from the Sequoia's to the restaurant for lunch. Let's just be polite and say, "Verily, he stretchest the truth mightily." :dribble: :clapping: :p

Aren't you going to be there to play "dad"? If so, "Charles did it first!"

Got an E-mail from Bugnatr and he says he talked with Plumas county Rd dept. and the road is not open yet. :cray: They start plowing it next week. It looks like were just a bit early on this road. :angry2: Darn!

Works for me, but make that a right at Pleasant Valley Rd. Bug
Thanks for pointing that out if we all went to the left we would all end up in the ditch.

I promise I'll be good, Mom, Dad. This time I'll really be good. I swear.

Catherine has told me that she won't ride with me again if I ever dump her. She means it, too, so it'll be a fairly sedate pace. Also, I don't believe the forest rats have moved to higher ground. I saw one last week and I swear there's more around here in summer than in winter. Just shows they ain't got no brains.

Good to see you're up and moving again, Steve.

Ian, we've got a spare bed or two so you're welcome to come up Friday night and not get up so early Saturday.

scratch me off the list. Too much to do before my trip to LA.darnit.
You can't bail, you are the offical NorCal group ride reporter and alt. photographer. The offical photographer (Sherrie) is going to be melting glass or something. That makes you the back-up.

Well then -- this is new for us for a while -- only 3 days to go and we're STILL a "GO
I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one"

Nice pics, locals put up the biker beware sign cause they got tired of picking up bodies of bikers who were in town 10 minutes before partying.

Was the road open up over Bassetts grade ( by Gold lake)? Bug

Nice pics of our route that you chose.

I did not know that we needed to bring our snow skis and gear for white water rafting for some extreme adventure?

remember your life jackets and dtay out of the cold water!!!!!!! :yahoo:
