It sounds as though a bunch of folks from the Sacto area are going. Any chance we can meet somewhere in the Sacramento area and head up to Marysville together. Anne-Marie has grandmother duties that weekend, so I will be one of the few soloists. Looking forward to it nonetheless.

warning; thread hijack.........

Yosemite update...........

120 is now plowed from gate to gate, they need to clear 4 avalance areas, plow the spur roads and parking lots ( hopefully minor road work, unlike last year ).......stay tuned....soon !!!!!

I may be riding solo myself.

If your coming from Napa we could meet at Solano Bakery in Dixon. It's at the Pitt School Road exit off I80. Does 7:30am sound like a good time?"

JB and Highlander, what's your plans?

Might have to give this one a miss

Problem with my left foot which has been getting worse over the last 2 days. Doctors appt tomorrow morning will tell what I already think it is (previous injury) -- I figure it's the cuneiform bones which have either split or separated. That's what it was last time. Pretty painful - no way I could ride on the ball of my foot. So here I hobble in my slippers, Fuuuuu !

"CRAP" I say !! Route downloaded into Garmin and all.

Depending on a couple of things... I may be able to tag along. I will know later in the week. One of my reservations is that Old Michael is signed up and I am not keen on riding with someone with his past criminal history.

Not to mention he has left the state and was last seen in a hotel room drinking Southern Comfort with Dr Pepper.

Let's see, Roger can't go cause he hurt his tootsie. :(
Hey Deb, what time you want me to pick you up? B)
She prolly won't wanna go wif you unless you paint your bike pink or red to match her jacket.

For those coming from the West, Sacramento Mike, gfran and I were talking about meeting on Del Paso Rd. and taking 99-70-65-20 in Marysville (rather than I-80 to 65).

What do you think Mike and Gary, met at the Safeway gas station? If one goes right on Del Paso, the Safeway is on the left at the first light. That would be the easiest place to get back onto Del Paso and onto I-5 to the 99 off ramp.

Its about 35 miles (40 minutes?), so we should roll out of the station around 0815 to be in Marysville by 0900. That would give the Dixon guys time to join us (it should be about 25-30 minutes from Dixon to Del Paso Rd).

If Last Chance is going, I'm out! The cruelty and badgering would be more than I could take -and still focus on my Streetmasters skills.(And this will break Silent's heart.)

:D
How about I break your heart instead Michael, I dun ride bi.... pillion :glare:

Haven't decided if I'm going or not yet.

Sounds good to me, see you Saturday.

I'll be testing out my new Colorado Cool Vest, I'm afraid. Today's paper says A HUNDRED AND ONE for Pete's sake! Well, we gotta get toughened up for summer sooner or later. It's a long ride to Colorado. See you at the gas station in the morning, MM and Gary. At least it should still be cool. B)

It's gonna be well into the 90's for this ride, even in Quincy, and the HIGH 90's in the valley. Bluestreek, Madmike, have you somewisdom to share about heat and hydration etc.?

(-breaking out my Kevlar thong.)
I already have my Miracool vest and bandana out. I just need to soak them and wrap them in plastic until needed.

By all means, bring your Camelback! (I have the Skyway Hydration System on the FJR).

We’re out, sounds like a death ride with the predicted heat on a black bike no less. Going to stay an extra day in Tahoe,

leaving tomorrow on the bike. Have a great ride and stay hydrated.
