Good God, SNOW? Well, we're all tough guys, right? And of course, we can always turn around and go home.

So Katrina's in Auburn for breakfast at 7 a.m. Isn't that awfully . . . early?

Many high altitude roads in the area are experiencing snow today. Closures on 3, 108 and chain controls on 88. Watch for sand! Ask Russ why.

Just heard that there's snow today up in the Sierras ...

Good God, SNOW? ...

Okay, only about half of our group are *******, so snow will be but a minor concern.

But thank you all for the weather advisories and concern. Seriously.

What time do you think you will make 20 and Marysville road?
StevieDog, I'm guessing about 0845. Breakfast will take about an hour, and then the run up 49 to Grass Valley,

and out 20 into Deliverance country. Bokerfork rides an '07, so that'll keep the pace leisurely.

If you'll give Sacramento Mike your cell #, he'll call you in the middle of the night when he's lonely when we're leaving Auburn.

That is if he doesn't leave his cell phone at home so his wife has to call one of his friends that he's meeting to get a hold of him ....or he doesn't hit a big rock in the middle of the road

....or impede the progress of an emergency vehicle and get arrested.....or go straight when the road turns... or so I've heard...
My god, Tyler. You're a callous one.

As many of you may know, in the eighth grade I considered studying Meteorology.

This of course makes me at least as qualified as a real meteorologist to predict tomorrow's weather.

For that reason I present the following.

OM,,,My God man, for the love of all that is decent, fair and prudent, consider a route with a little less impending doom. Perhaps a coastal route. It's a holiday weekend with mild temps forecast for the beaches.

It'll be you, me, and about a dozen other fair weather riders avoiding the pine needles and tourists who are landing on the roads and clogging the byways of the High Sierra's

You said it yourself,"Bokerfork rides an '07". I can't be expected to navigate pine needles, snow and tourists. It's bad enough Sac Mike might show up. Have a heart and reconsider your route.

If not for me, do it for the children.

Regretfully,

Mark

Okay. Your gigantic ****** makes some good points.

Wet, cold, debris-strewn roads take the fun out of riding way too fast, charging into blind corners, and passing on double-yellows.

(See, this is why I normally stay out of the ride-planning business.)

Howzabout the Putah Creek Cafe in Winters @ 0700, and then out 128 to the coast?

Stop at some scenic overlook near Mendocino and consider the options for the ride back inland?

Picnic lunch in Manchester?

I'm thinking traffic will have thinned out by Sat. afternoon, since all the weekenders will have gotten to where they're going.

Input?

(NO fecking goat trails, Bug.)

Steve, hopefully you'd still join us?

Nicki?

You still in?

I ain't giving SacMike my phone number so we are out. :p

Boy a little snow and rain some sand and a few pine needles and every one bails. What a bunch a sissys.

I was kinda looking forward to seeing SacMike joust with a few rocks laying in the middle of the road too. :D

Oh well maybe we will put something together for next week.

Hey OM, I'm in for breakfast and riding tomorrow. See you at Putah Creek Cafe 7:00 or whatever the latest meet place is in the morning. I talked with SacMike and he is up for Putah Creek Cafe or whatever also. May have to break away from the group to get home mid-afternoon. It will be good to see you and the others. It's been a while.

This is a promising turn of events....I would be missing some nice body warmth in the morning.

I am kind of feeling like Hans here, with regard to rolling to meet in Winters at 0700. Damn!

Out to the coast via Skaggs Springs?

Beer thirty at North Coast Brewing Co?

That would mean...Oh ****, that's a big sacrifice to ride in the cold.

I understand. Who'd want their lungs invaded by the crisp morning air of an early summer day, racing along roads most only dream about riding,

with the sun at your back and the promise of a glorious day aboard your stinkin' FJR?

Get your rest.

I'll be there.

Don't make me a solo rider. :angry2:

And this better be better than ***! :assassin:

Putah Creek Cafe 1 Main Street, Winters, CA

0700...you're demented.
