Your guy lived a great life and was lucky to have you as his master. Jenny and I currently have 6 dogs, (combined households result in more than just double toasters and microwaves) and I've had dogs since I was old enough to remember. I've had to do the merciful thing a few times now, and hard as it was, I've been by their side for each and every one. They were always there for me, and I'll always be there for them. You sound like a great dog owner, I hope you will make another dog so lucky as to have you for a master real soon.

I'm very sorry to hear this. Pets are indeed part of the family.

When I get a dog, I hope he's as energetic, loyal and strong as Jager.

RIP, JM.

Man I'm sorry to hear this. I had to put our 16 y.o. dog to sleep a few weeks ago, and know how you feel. It looks like he was a good pal and you took good care of him.

Sorry for your loss. 18.5 years is a long friendship with a dog....129.5 human years for the dog.

What a life!!!!! I know you will miss him.

An important member of the family is lost. Very sorry to hear, Doug.
