Cops on the side of the road don't stop Aggressive Driving the real issue!Get people to get out of the fast lane when a car approaches and you will reduce many accidents right there.
Yes, there are fulltime ****** aggressive drivers and they should be deprived of the privilege. But there are far more oblivious fuckwits who simply drive in the fast lane all the time regardless of speed, traffic flow or anything else. In my experience, it is often the case that these people are responsible for inciting others to agressive behavior. It is indeed unfortunate that, while the LEO's here specifically (and rightfully) target aggressive drivers, no one seems to target the asshats doing a safe and sane 54.5 MPH in the left lane on a posted 70 MPH freeway. Even in areas that are posted "Keep right unless passing". I actually had a guy tell me once that, if he was going a long distance, he just got in the left lane and stayed there to avoid people slowing for exits or whatnot.

FWIW, this seems to be largely an American issue. In my experience driving in Europe, Asia and Australia, people tend to actually get out of the way. Of course, seeing a big SL500 approaching at a hundred MPH faster than you're going is somewhat of an incentive. I've no experience driving in South America, Africa nor the Middle East so it may be worse there but who cares?

Cheers,

Jim

+100 you said what I was trying to perfectly. Nothing worse than being on my motorcycle and being able to drive the HOV to get home faster as to not have to be stuck in traffic and I get behind someone doing slower the the lanes that aren't HOV. Get in one of those lanes if that is the speed you want to go. JHC!

Then when you blow around them they look at me like I am the problem

Your smaller town officers more often then not are just bored and through their training, they are using traffic stops as a way to find more serious perps.
Just another sugar coated euphemism cops use to convince the weak minded that when they’re being criminals it’s good thing. When the tables are turned it’s called a crime of opportunity. I’d take a chill pill but some jack booted thug stole ‘em all last time I got pulled over for some BS reason. Thank you for copping to the obvious.

Please understand I meant that in the best possible context as I hold you all in the highest regard :p
"When they're being criminals....."

Explain to me without getting emotional, if possible, how it is "criminal" for a police officer to be aggressive in his approach to policing..........would you rather him hang out at Crispy Cream all day.

What may be a BS stop in your mind, in all reality is nothing more then you doing something, most likely stupid, that drew attention to yourself.

I guess Timothy McVeigh was no doubt pulled over for some BS stop too......

You must have gotten alot of tickets in your life....

Calling cops criminals and criminals nothing more then victims has become the norm for the politically correct. <_<

Yeah, I think this thread pretty much got away from being FJR specific or remotely related to motorcycle legislation when evil_henchman started talking about jack booted thugs.

Move along, nothing here to see now.
