Has anybody in farkle land considered fabricating or adapting a rear brake lever to fit on the left handle bar for the AE. It would make the bars look more normal, more symetrical, and the rear brake would be in a lot more convenient position. Could shift with your left hand or foot and could rear brake with your left hand and foot (if the foot brake was left in the system). Im sure the stunt guys have some way of braking with the left hand. Didn't Mick Doohan have a thumb brake or something? Just the ramblings of a bored mind because THERE IS NO AE IN MY GARAGE!

No way.

I can deal with not having a control lever there. If there is one there, it had damn better do what I expect. I think I'd probably high-side within 30 seconds. Maybe not with the ABS, but still <shudder>.

Ten bazillion scooter riders will argue with you. I have motorcycles that I jam around on for fun on the weekends and for long rides. For commuting on city streets (no freeways) I ride an Aprilia scooter and it is way quicker, easier, and much more convenient than a motorcycle. The rear brake on the left works great. If you're getting an AE you're already thinking outside of the box, why not a left brake?

Not long after Mick Doohan ****** his leg he had the boys fabricate a small rear brake lever from memory he used his left thumb to activate it..When his leg mended he kept the lever there he liked it so much.

Cheers
