Perusing FJRs on ebay, I came across a listing for a 2009 FJR that had the following farkle:

Wow! How about those lights on the fener? Talk about HUGE!

Not the most asthetic farkle out there, but I think I like them. BTW, both taillight and brake light functions.

What sayeth you?

WHAT? I CAN'T HEAR YOU, DEM LIGHTS ARE WAY LOUD!

Wonder what make those are? His eBay listing states "European lighting."

LED is good, no big drain on the battery. And always good to have more stopping power, so to speak.

Also cool where he put the front LEDs. Took me a couple looks to find them. Would love to see them lit up at night.

Also, I must embarrassingly admit - I like those custom FJR jackets he had made.

Actually, the jackets are available on ebay. Problem is, they are shipped from Asian countries and the shipping costs are really high.

If it's a nice, big flashing red light you want, try this: Whelen M7 Super LED

You think that'd get someone's attention..? (BTW: Whelen also makes a smaller version of this light. A friend put one on his Gold Wing. It's bright to say the least...)

I bet she'd look just like a fookin UFO.

Hey! Maybe he can get a set for endurance trials.. No, not long distance mind ya. Durability :yahoo:

:jester:

The hubby wants to install these spade lights into his saddlebags - and I think he actually wants them more now that he's realized that the $120 is just for the frenchies, and the lights themselves are $450. They would look pretty cool, but $600 worth of cool? Personally, I'd take $50 worth of ugly lights and $550 worth of roadtrip if I was going to drop that kind of money.

I always forget. When you're moving away from people at Skooter nominal speeds....do these added tail lights shift to the ultraviolet or infrared? I don't know what good they'll do on your hoopty. Don't tell me Flipper is loitering at stop lights these days...I'd be crushed. ;)

I bought one a while back. I don't recall shipping being too outrageous, but it did take a while to receive it.

All in all it's a cool jacket. Only thing is, the zipper is backwards - the pull is on the left side instead of the right. Messes me up every damn time.

Someone got a nice deal on that '09, though. 1500 miles... I hope the new owner ups the annual mileage!

Just checked again. the jackets are around $39 and shipping is $25. Coming from Thailand. I guess it's not too bad as long as the quality is good.

The quality is about what you'd expect. The emblems and logos are all embroidered and seem decent enough. It's just the damn zipper that pisses me off. And, like I mentioned, it took a while to receive it.

Thus saith the madster: Verily ye should avail thyself as a fleece (Judges 6:37) to protect the FJR Forum and become the first of thy brethren. Lead the way, oh SkooterG. Be a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our pathway, illuminate us with your report. Will it be well for us in the land if we were to follow thee into the darkness? Or is this vendor a cunning fox, intent on removing vast fortunes from the collective who sojourns here?

Besides, I can't remember if I have a "fener" on my FJR.
