Recliner Chairs

I have some severe back issues and it's time for some new chairs so I am researching recliners. So for you couch potatos that spend a lot of time sitting around watching the tube what do you prefer for maximum comfort ???

Leather of fabric??? I think my giant cat might destroy leather. let hear from the best not Bust.

Recliners are terrible for your lower back so I'd avoid that if you have issues in the ole lumbar. I got rid of my last recliner several years ago and went to a standard fixed arm chair. Keeping my feet on the floor and keeping good posture helps.

Ray, I don't know that you would remember but I have a fabrice recliner. It's big man certified, once in a while I wind up sleeping in it either because of the dog house effect or my sleep apnea issues.

I can't imangine staying in a leather chair for long but once I got the flue and I was either in the chair on on the pooper five days running! If it would have been leather I would have been stuck to it like beamerdon to a hamberger from the Effie Tavern in Lewiston Idaho.

Try to google "relax the back" store " zero gravity chairs". They have a big guy version.

I've got a genuine Laz-y-boy recliner mit der heat and massage - in fabric.

I never sit in it simply because I'm out cold in about 15 seconds flat - everytime. BTW, the heat and massage aren't worth the money. The heats nice though when your feeling craptacular, but you can get better from a cheap heating pad.

Yep... Don't waste yer money on the vibrating heated crap.. Steve is right, buy a heating pad and one of them massage pads "As seen on TV".

Or ....

Flip one of yer male goats udside down.. After about 15 seconds his struggles will heat his *** up, and his violently moving balls will do ya.

Ray, what ever chair you pick and there are a lot to choose from. Don't pick leather. I have a killer leather lazy boy, love seat and couch. Looks great and very comfy but, I have a sheet or blanket over all of them because when I feel in a couch potato mood, THEY DON'T BREATH! Word......

I don't have that problem Bust. But thank you for chiming in on an area where you obviously have much expertise!! :lol:

I bought one of these chairs about 5 years ago, best investment for my bad back.

When I get back pain I put the Homedics device on it and all is good.

This chair is pricey, but the quality and comfort is unsurpassed.

C-3 thru C-7 in my neck are just about gone so I don't look up or twist much. The VA isn't interested in fixing it but they give me tons of vicodin. :dribble:
