Getting ready to do the rear end lube on my 2006, and I see lots of info about the 2 centerstand bolts that cannot be removed because they are constrained by the exhaust. I see lots of folks saying that you should cut them out and replace them with the bolt heads on the inside and the nuts on the outside.

Does anyone know the size of these bolts? I'd like to have them on-hand when I am doing the job

Anything special about these bolts? They don't look shouldered like the ones below it and why do they say you need 4? Weird the nut costs more than the bolt. Can get stainless at the hardware store for less than what Yami wants.

The two pivot bolts? They are a hardened bolt with a large diameter shoulder and a non-standard head.

They can be replaced with a hardened sleeve the correct diameter and a standard bolt if you have a lathe and a tempering oven or similar.

Why it lists 4 bolts? I have no idea!
