I use the Cortech HRX pants which I got at my local yamaha dealer for about $150, mesh and 3 way adjustable hard knee armor worked great for my 28 inseam legs. A NJK mesh jacket for $125, probably the best looking mesh and excellent armor in the elbows & back. I had the same problem with many manufacturers in the pants department having the knee pads down to your shin, and Cortech was the best fit and easy to adjust. The NJK jackets are new to the market, and will be adding them to my store soon.

Hey, I have the same question! I've had a 2 piece Roadcrafter suit for many years and I want to replace it. My biggest problem with the suit is that the pants rub the paint on the tank. With the butter-soft paint on my new FJR, this is already a problem.

Is there such a thing as a suit with soft areas where it rubs the tank?

Try getting the TankSlapper for the areas where the suit rubs. Nothing like a protective barrier!
I've been looking around for the flex jacket, but i can't seem to find it anywhere. Let me know what you find out please :)

Hello...thought id pipe in here since i just went through this. after doing a lot of research i went with the alpinestars one piece...(drystar) its better quality that the highlander and better fit than the aerostich...and priced in between at 500 bucks. good til about 75 degrees...although on long hauls ive warn in 95 degree weather and been fine...although i prayed i wouldnt get stuck in traffic. great suit...include it in your research.

I ended up with Tourmaster Flex jacket and Joe Rocket Alter Ego pants. Both have removable inside liners for rain. The Flex has an additional liner for warmth. $390 OTD for both.

The Flex fits me perfect. Used it yesterday on chilly start to full blown hot day and it worked really good.

Haven't ridden with pants yet but at least they fit!

Flex jacket available at PowerHouse, Paso Robles.
