Ray & the ladies did an awesome job. And I'm not saying that just because they bought me a pie the size of New Jersey.

Three days of great riding and awesome folks.

Only one deer strike [saddle bag and deer both beat to crap but survived] and no performance awards that I know of which does surprise me because we only ride ten miles over the speed limit.

High speed sweepers, goat trails, beautiful scenery, cattle on the road [my friend John from CA would make a great cowboy and he has pictures to prove it], mossy roads [Petey and his crew were not impressed], Greg with a passenger [

], Bugnatr was nice enough to send pic's to DC & OM, JP fitting in well, SPU, Joseph, Tyler, Barb and a bunch more missed, Reno boys were back for more, Carl is still crazy, SacMike pulled the old left my wallet home trick [but he did bring enough booze to keep Juniorfjr happy for a day or two] and so on and so on.

I don't like riding in groups but Saturday we ended up with 10 riders. Panman led and I rode sweep. Every one figured out there spot in the group and rode their own pace. Even the 92 Yamaha TDM850 stayed with the group though we did have to wait for Tom ever once in a while. It turned out to be an awesome 410 mile day.

Good folks and rides. Can't ask for anything more.

Just because OM asked so nice. . .

From now on, BTW, I'm bringing my old point-and-shoot Canon. Freaking cellphone camera is pretty useless on a ride, in your pocket. Interesting place, La Pine. Freezing cold in the mornings, hot as hell in the afternoons. But it was clear and pretty, at least. Mt. Bachelor from the parking lot:

Speaking of the parking lot:

Took a ride Saturday--10 of us, following Panman and Redneck J 420 miles all over Oregon. Some pretty scenery, some smooth, fast roads, and a reuben to top it all off.

Stopped here for a break. And at least one Moon Pie. Must have been a big day for this place. The store owner went out in the street and took a pic of his place with all our bikes out front.

Looks pretty down home, doesn't it?

I hope that place across the street is included in next year's Paulina Home Tour. I'd love to check it out.

I really did leave my damn wallet at home. In Sacramento. But FedEx came through with it on Friday. And yes, there was one performance award. Turns out my old '05 can actually go faster than freaking 55!

Wow, it sure looks like I missed a great ride and time. Would have loved getting together and riding with all of you. Next year for sure. Still getting used to the FJR and that sticky throttle on my 07. Really liked reading all the stories and pics.

Made it home about 4 last night. Good thing I didn't crash with that much alcohol on board.

It would have a flaming pile of plastic and aluminum, with an accelerant. Thank Mike. Great riding and good friends new and old.

Good fun in the sun.

That's all folk's!

Is that good looking little Blonde Cowgirl still running the Paulina store?

Festar about fell in lust there last year on our way to Ray's in July

RR was a great event. Enjoyed meeting new friends and old acquaintances. And when I say old don't take it personally.

Made it home yesterday afternoon around 4. The ride up was cold and wet and the ride home was hot and dry.

Didn't take many pics but here are a few.

Finally made it to Oregon. Where are all the trees?

Still wondering how much Bugnatr paid Ray to put a Wing on the back of the awesome T-shirts ,,,
Reuben3.jpg
Wait. What the hell does Ray ride??
Today a wing, FJR and a KLR. Tomorrow after another test with the wife maybe a Spyder. I didn't pay attention to the shirts until somebody pointed it out. **** happens but we did have more wings this year so you FJR folks better step it up for next year.
