Every year around this time I put together a ride that usually spans somewhere in the neighborhood around 500 miles a day. This is the 9th year (I think) that I have done this and the size of the group has varied from as few as 4 to as many as 22. The trip is focused around the ride and being in the saddle trying to stay off the major highways as much as possible, not really a stop and smell the daisys kind of deal. I threw the invite out last year with no FJR takers but I thought I would do it again this year...I know it's last minute but with the economy the group is getting a little smaller than I'd like.
The jist of the ride is; I live in Orange County area and will be slabing it to Vegas after work on Sept 22. Leaving early Thurs morning heading up thru Zion and across Utah, ending up in Monticello, Ut. Fri Sept 23 we'll head thru CO. and end up in Los Alamos NM. Sat Sept 24 out of NM ending up in Scottsdale AZ then Sun Sept 25 heading back in to the O.C. I love twisty roads and don't much care for the slap but on a ride like this sometimes there's no way around it.
If anyone is interested give me a call,
Bob 714-822-6416
I have a some Garmin maps that I could forward to anyone interested.
