Three of my local weekend riding buddies and I will be heading to the Catskills this week for a camp and ride vacation. Basecamp should be set up in NY on Wednesday. Then we will be doing some all day rides through Vermont, New Hamshire, and up state New York.

One O8 Fjr(me), Black Z1000, Ducati, and undeteremined sportbike.

If You happened to see us give me a honk/wave.

Are stops, as well as the routes will be determined as we go, but if any of you northeasterners see us stopped somewhere, introduce yourself!.

Looking forward to some nice riding up north!!!! And, hopefully, a break from the 100 degree heat lately!! ( not normal here in NoVA! )

Hi Chris,

We had a breakfast run to NH yesterday and we crossed the 100 degree mark. It's about 88 right now but The long range forecast is for a little cool down next week. I will be in Lincoln NH next week- give me a call on the cell if you need a break spot. I am right at the start of the Kank but without my bike so I can't do a ride along.

Hey Chris

I live by the Great Sacandaga Lake If you guys need a spot to rest or stay. Just maybe I could show you some sweet roads around here. Depends on work load.

Let me know.

Art

If you're in the Catskills, I definitely recommend a run around Pepacton reservoir. I think it's the best motorcycle road in NY.

Joe

Thank you Joe and Pepperell.

George and Art, I may be in touch if we're going to be in the area.

:) Thank you sir! I'll add that to my notes.

And I was wrong about basecamp. We'll be at Lake George.

Gonna be your neighbor Art !!!

Cool Chris

Check out the NERDS routes that were already posted. There are 2 that go threw LG that I know very well, and many that go all over New England. Do you have a GPS ?

Also check out New England Riders. There's a lot of info in there including routes, scenic, places to eat, etc.

As posted by joebidiesel, Route 30 around the Pepacton in the Catskills is great. Route 28 between Margaretville and Oneonta is also fun. Route 28 rill take you all the way to Lake George from the Catskills, but it goes pretty far west after Oneonta and there is some flat and straight sections before it gets back into the Adirondacks. Once in the 'Daks it is pretty good.

North of Lake George is a road called Tracy Road, which is probably the twistiest stretch in the Adirondacks. I believe it's also CR6 on the map and runs east from the intersection of I87 and US9 at the headwaters of the Scroon River.

Yes Art, I have the Garmin 2730. I've got your twisty butt route loaded. :)

Thanks Geezer! Noted!
