Ok, so lessee...An increase in the number of riders, riders riding while impaled, and riders not wearing helmets contributed to an increase in motorcycle fatalities.

Per many internet studies, total crap from SkooterGroooooooo and a straw poll from CBS NBS, and ABS, I came to this conclusion:
Note when fatalities went down by 16% in 2009, the economy was in the toilet and jobs were shrinking up. riders that were recreational riders dumped their bikes or didn't ride to only take care of essentials. Total op ed on my part. All stats stolen or used out of context or totally made up by me, I can't remember which.
