I was seeing everyone post about getting their sticker and realized I hadn't checked the mail yesterday and there it was! Thanks again, Glen, for doing this. Don will ride with me everywhere I go.

+1 Doesn't he do great work?

I'm really glad to know that others like this remembrance of Don. I've never put a sticker on a bike before, but this just seemed like a very natural and positive thing to do. Thanks to all, and especially to Duchess, Lucy Liu, and Naomi, for mounting the stickers in memory of Don.

I guess I missed your original post about the stickers, so I will also be having some made, and will have them with me (to hand out) at some of the events that I'll be attending this year.

Yep, I don't put stickers (stripes maybe but not stickers) on my bike, but there's one on it now.

I'm sending out the last of the stickers today. If you requested one before this post, it will be in the mail later this afternoon.

The few remaining are being sent out to the wake for AZ Beemers.

Sigh.....

Thanks to El Toro Joe for picking up the baton. I'm sure there will be folks who do not cruise the forum who would like to have this remembrance of Don.

It was fate that led to our El Toro appellation (fate, and software that didn't block my choice of such a similar name in 2008).

It sounds like we'll both be sporting 2016 FJR 1300 ES bikes with tributes to Don next year. Brothers from different Mothers?

I dunno ...

This morning I received and email from Beemerdons, it was obvious his account had been hacked. I decided to come over here and see what he was up to. Only to learn this very sad news.

Don was amazing. Amazing in his moto-bike passions, but also in his pursuit of life. He loved it, he cherished it and he shared his passion so very well.

Over the years a lot of route planning with Don for Mexico rides and they always were full of tales and past experiences and wanting to explore new places.

Meeting-up with and sharing fun with Don and Seth was always inspirational to me.

The last few years I didn't have a lot of contact with Don, but the occasional email or silliness always brought smiles to my face.

Godspeed Don, You're very special and will be missed. Prayers and hugs to Seth and Donna and to all those who are in pain over this tough loss.

Sorry to report someone has hacked Don's gmail account.

I just got this, I almost puked.

"I really hope you get this fast. I could not inform anyone about our trip, because it was impromptu. we had to be in Philippines for Tour..The program was successful, but our journey has turned sour. we misplaced our wallet and cell phone on our way back to the hotel we lodge in after we went for sight seeing. The wallet contained all the valuables we had. Now, our passport is in custody of the hotel management pending when we make payment.

I am sorry if i am inconveniencing you, but i have only very few people to run to now. i will be indeed very grateful if i can get a short term loan from you ($1,450). this will enable me sort our hotel bills and get my sorry self back home. I will really appreciate whatever you can afford in assisting me with. I promise to refund it in full as soon as soon as I return. let me know if you can be of any assistance. Please, let me know soonest.

Don"

I have no contact with the family so I don't know how else to report this.

Chris, It's already been reported to the family. His sister has posted a warning on FB. It was a real suprise to see an email from him this a.m.

And we already have a thread going on this very issue right >>here<<.

Returning this thread back to the Funeral-Info page.

My sticker came in the mail, thank you Glen! I hope we get the chance to meet someday, the first half dozen beverages of your choice is on me.

So, the El Toro brothers have been nice enough to get some stickers made and distributed. I figured, rather than put all the posts of "Got my sticker" in Beemerdon's RIP thread, maybe we could just have a thread for everyone to show off the sticker placement and maybe in a cool location in remembrance of the guy.

I'll start. I've given thought to putting some stickers on my topbox as I don't like stickers on my bike but haven't started yet, so I started with my JSNS sticker. It's placed on the left side so I'll see it whenever I'm getting on the bike.

Here's mine, let's see yours.

Been away for awhile and just came across this. I can't say how sorry I am. I came to motorcycles late and FJR's were my first love. Joining this forum, it was quickly apparent who the "characters" were. I loved to read Don's posts and would search through old threads just to find some more of Don's "material". Don always made me laugh - I am so sad I will never have the chance to ride w/ him. RIP Don!

I have only just become aware of the loss of our great mate. I only just finished reading the previous 314 posts and I just can not believe it. I send my most sincere condolences to Don's family especially Seth and Donna.

I always looked forward to any of Don's comments on any of my posts but I never had the good fortune to meet in person and I don't think enough will ever be said about Beemerdons the lovable larrikin.

Highest regards

Steve
