Rode my FJR today

After some absense from the FJR scene I took mine for a little ride today.. I am in love again, how could I even consider another bike, I am ashamed of myself.. My bike has all the looks, power, smoothness, comfort anyone could ask for. Only 15K on her and she is going to be mine for a long time, I have a hard time just walking by without a little love pat.

I agree. For a period of time I had higher expectations of the bike ( it should handle like a sport bike ride like a goldwing and get mileage like a 50cc scooter. Now that I have more realistic expectations I feel the fjr is about the best all around bike there is especially if you take it out of the city. Comfort, power, handling and after 27k miles I have it set up for me and I am embarrased to say it took me almost this long to get it right.

Ummm. Not riding your FeeJ often is basically motorcycle abuse. That undermines Forum rule 57 and transgresses the unwritten law. Don't let it happen again.

I wish I would have bought a FJR before this...After riding alnost 40 years this is the perfect fit for me also. I've had Yamaha's a lot........rode RD 350's, and RD400's a lot, and my last 2 bikes were FZ1's

Hell, I took a week off after NAFO, and it was like I had lost my best friend. My wife finally told I had better go ride, and stop being such a grumpy bastard.

My assessment exactly. Having owned countless bikes over the 50 years I have been riding from Goldwings to Honda Cub, the FJR is the best all-around bike I have ever had. It has a few warts but not many and none to reduce the overall "best" rating I give it.

Hmmm...the new V-Max engine, but with taller gearing, in a FJR body. Now we are talking!!
