Room Sharing

Well, it looks like having a room to myself is costing me over $200.00 just for lodging. I'm hoping to find another woman to take the other bed but think that there aren't other women attending w/o their significant other. But, I thought that I'd post a search anyway just in case there is someone on the fence about attending but weary of the costs associated w/ going.

Up for rent:

1 double bed (available to a woman) in a non-smoking room (ground floor lodging)

light snoring to no snoring ok

Available for 1/2 lodging costs.

While not being of the female persuasion... I am married with 4 kids, and that means I'm basically harmless.

I carry in my wallet a picture of all my stuff, only that picture is torn in half. I look at it now and then and it reminds me of what it would cost if I didn't behave <_<

Ok, I'd really, really rather have a woman roommate... but would consider a "guy roomy" as a possibility. I'm sure this would work out fine. It just doesn't feel right to me. Actually, I did offer the extra bed to my buddy, Jeff who's unsure if he can come. I'd feel ok w/ him since I know him pretty darn well... & also know his girlfriend. If she trusts him then he must be cool, right? He's given me no indication as to what he's doing, yet.

I'd also like to see if there's anyone staying the whole weekend that I could share expenses with. That would be a HUGE part of my decision. This weekend is looking REAL expensive to me right now!

Renegade, if either of these scenarious don't play out I'd probably consider the "one night's rent". How soon would you need to know?

Oh, I forgot to address the "snoring" bit. Some snoring is fine... after all I'll suck some wind, too. I've been told it's not bad but I do make some sleep sounds. My comment is geared more towards the curtain/blind sucker inners/sound like a freight train sort of snorers. I can easily wear earplugs... but they only mask so much.

Been married three times and am Mr. Mom to two young girls. I'm not harmless, but it's been a while since I checked!

Pretty sure I could behave myself for one weekend. I tend to drink very little, if any. If not, you could always throw me out to my brother's house who lives about an hour away.

Guess there's no freakin' way you would room with me. But if expenses are keeping you away, you are welcomed to stay in my room. Anyone that owns an FJR should have the opportunity to attend without it being a burdon.

Same schedule as me, Jeff. I'm definitely coming in on Thursday afternoon. I want to ride with the group Friday morning thru Shady Valley. (for you folks that haven't ridden SV b4??? If you love to canyon carve, you're gonna' love it!) I have a room. I reserved one months ago. I'm coming regardless... hoping to cut some costs, though... that's all. I spoke with slapnpop last night on the phone. There are 11 rooms total left in the hotel... & that was last night.
