Run to the Wall '09

I'm planning to ride to Rancho Cucamonga, CA near Los Angeles from New Orleans leaving May 7th or 8th

and do the Run May 13-24 along the Southern Route to DC

This is my first time experience with the RFTW, so I'm an FNG and can do two things as part of my experience

Ride the missing man formation in honor of my friend Mike Bares

FNG's get to ride their bikes on the sacred grounds of Arlington National Cemetery

It just so happens that I work with, and am real good friends, with last year's coordinator of the southern route.

I see him almost daily (he and I worked a midnight shift together last night). RFTW offered him a higher position

for this years run and I don't know in what capacity he will be serving...but we talked a bit about The Run last

night. You'll see him if you look at last year's pictures. His is "Cowboy". Being the coordinator, he is in lots of pics.

If you want...I can give you his contact info. I'm sure he'd love to talk to you about anything you want to know about.

Glad ya survived and thrived in that...ahhhhh...dangerous position of Road Guard...loved the lights/strobes on ya Feej

Stationed on a DDG in San Diego in 1977

first round will be painless...diet pepsi...but during the day I go with the caffiene as opposed to the after dark caffiene free !!!
