It will be 80 and no wind in Palm Springs this weekend for the bike ride. Just sayin' that short sleeve jersey will be nice.

I agree Barry. A short sleeve jersey will be perfect for the weekend. I ran in my Surf City 5K shirt this evening, which has short sleeves. According to the display in the car, it was 59 degrees as we watched the sun set over the waves.

This is why we put up with sucky traffic, and pay half a million dollars for an ordinary home! :)

Oh, good on you guys! I will be taking my daily 2 mile hike with the local Sierra club tomorrow!

Ya gotta slow down, to breathe in the scent of the oaks and the (soon to bloom) lavender!

(oO  h, and don't eat any saturated fat fried food = like carnitas!)

That hike sounds wonderful. I love the smell of lavender. Looks like you're going to have a beautiful day for it too. Did you say that you're cooking your famous carnitas afterwards? That, and the prospect of joining you on the hike might make me seriously consider calling in sick tomorrow. :)

I haven't hiked in many years, then about two weeks ago during an impromptu visit to a friend, we hiked a local canyon. I'd forgotten how good it feels to get a great workout while marveling at the scenery. Now that I'm exercising more often, I was able to enjoy climbing the hills without that nauseating feeling of almost passing out. Having enough breath to talk as well as walk, is a GOOD thing.

Have fun on your hike!

Jill
