Do they return ship the new seat in the box that you sent your orig. seat in? The Russell seem's a bit larger than stock,Do you plan for this when you ship your seat out? Thank's for any info. Bluejag !
They use their own box and packing material. Don't worry

We were experiencing a heatwave today (50degrees) so I got out and pounded the pavement for 100 miles on the new seat.... NOT A SINGLE hotspot... My big ass is 100% totally and unequivocally satisfied. Didn't even THINK about my big ass at all... NICE!

Even tho it's not exactly riding weather, I'm ready. Sent my seat in yesterday for my build date of January 17. I'm excited. :)

Think Spring.

My build date was 1/02 but was out of town when the seat arrived .... on 12/28!! :yahoo:

Quality and feel is great. Now, here in the icy north, I just have to wait for the opportune time to test ride the seat.

Thanks Russell!!

It really should be a requirement that when you get your new seat, you should post a picture.

Those without a seat I think would appreciate it. :drag:

The seat feels perfect. Pix:

Got mine back today! Yahoo! My build date was Jan 4, todays the 11th... not bad! Just the drivers seat, HD suspension, vinyl, $405 shipped. Looks sharp! Comfortable! Unfortunately, I'm now on my tiptoes... not good. Maybe it will break in? I've already lowered the bike, sent pics showing my reach, so I'm not pleased with this result. Have to go ride tomorrow and then decide!

I'm still waiting for mine (build date Jan 23) and with my 29 inch inseam, I wonder how it will work out. I made notes on my order form about my short inseam, but it seems like one can not get this seat made for short people. Could you tell me your inseam and how the seat is working for you?

My inseam is 28". I'm going for a 100+ mile ride today, so I'll let you know more this evening. I'm hoping the memory foam, or whatever they use, will help. I really don't like tiptoeing on a top heavy bike. We shall see.

107 miles and I must admit it's a comfortable seat! Why, I could ride that all day long! Can't wait for summer so I can do just that. Unfortunately, my feet didn't get any closer to the ground. I do not like tiptoeing. Not sure what I'll do about that, shorter shock? I'll probably email Russell and see what they say. I did not tell them I wanted it lower, or not to raise it, but I wrongly assumed the pics I sent along with the seat would be self evident... evidently not. :glare:

My stock seat was cut down about a 1.5", by me, and I removed the gel pad and cover when I sent it to Russel. I also requested that I like being seated "flat footed" and for them to do their best in keeping it that way. My pictures also showed this.

My build date is 1/15 so I'll wait and see.

From all I've read they are very accommodating so don't hesitate if you are not $ati$tfied.

Well, I was out of town when I should have shipped my seat. So my build date (1/18) will be pushed back a bit. I did call to confirm that it would be ok to just ship anyway.

I can't get over the discount. What a deal!!!! :D :D :D

Just got mine back today (build date 1/11) :yahoo: The bike is apart for other farkling, so the test ride and picture will have to wait.

It could be just a matter of hitching forward on the seat a smidge when you want to put your foot down.

I'm 6' 2" and found the front edge of the "wing" wouldn't let me extend my leg normally. I have to shift my butt slightly forward, at first it was a bit weird, now I don't even think about it.

I can tell you they can't do much for lowering the seat except for the front where you can slide forward a bit. I am WAY up in the air on mine with 30" inseam compared to my Corbin. I'm on my toes/balls of my feet. The comfort is worth it so I just try to keep going !

I am sure one the seat breaks in you will slowly get closer to where you want to be? I am sure they factor everything in before they make them.
