I have an '05 and am curious if all generations of saddlebags are the same, meaning will a '22 model fit on my bike? Also, using the '22 example, what was the official color for the '22 model? Thank you.

From what I understand all bags fit all models. Hopefully someone will come along and verify that.

In the USA
The 2005 color is Galaxy Blue.
2006, 2012, 2016 and apparently several years after 2020 are Cobalt Blue.
Galaxy and Cobalt are different shades of blue.
Not only do all years FJR bags fit all years FJRs, but FJ09 and Tracer 900 bags fit all years FJRs, and all years FJR bags fit the FJ09 and Tracer 900s.
The FJ09 and Tracer 900 bags are the same as the City Bags sold for the FJR in foreign markets.
The Tracer 9 GT bags do not interchange with any year FJR or FJ09 or Tracer 900.
