Hi and HNY!

I had to replace my front tire, a stock Bridgestone Battlax. I got front and rear Pilot Road 2s and have changed the front but am still running the stock Battlax on the rear. I know it isn't recommended to run two different kinds of tires (radial vs bias ply), but my rear Battlax still has a couple of thousand miles left on it. I'm not a high-performance rider. Does anyone think there are safety issues running two different radials front and rear?

Dude don't listen to odot, he runs KY Jelly on his seat

I ran 2K with the stock skank ass stone on the front and an avon azo  on the rear no problems. Would have went further but the one time I let the front touch the ground, I picked up a nail in the sidewall.

:jester:

When World Champion Kenny Roberts was asked a similar question (can you mix bias ply and radial tires on a m/c?)

his answer was: "If it works, you can."

Thanks everyone. If I fill the tires with Mobil 1 will they last 50,000 miles?

no. then you will have to change them every 3k or 6month, whatever comes first
