I'm in for the BBG...
Excellent! So what you're saying is that I shouldn't expect to see you anywhere along the route, huh? ;)
If you do it will only be my backside! :bye: :bye: :bye:
And I'll just smile and wave...

This will be kinda cool with so many of the PDX area group up there (including the 2 people that I did my first FJR group ride with - you and BKR CHK)!!

If you see me parked at the Iron Butt Motel don't wake me up (unless you have food). And don't sneak up on me, I carry a clock in my tankbag. :p

Hope to see you in Prosser.
Hey Ig, been following this on the various lists and forums and would love to particpate but I am riding the weekend before (sabmag) and after (word) and in fact this particular weekend is my 33rd anniversary and I promised Linda we'd do something that does not involve motorcycles.

Have fun folks, be there in spirit if not physically.

Which makes a new category on my list for the attendees in spirit. You're the charter member. ;)

Have fun with Linda and see you at Word!

I'm in for the BBG, PM sent. Maybe you could post motel recommendations near the dealership.
Great to hear!

Hotel and discount are being worked by Dan at DVP as we post and will be announced. I jumped the gun on some of this registration process because I had tons of people asking me....more details will flow as the event gets closer.

Matt
3 1/2 weeks out, any updates..?

Remembered to book a room today. Would have been a pain to get there and find town full. See ya there.

Good deal!

We're up to 14 "for sures" and a gaggle of "tentatives". Gonna be a nice mix of newbies and veterans to be sure!

Sigh...this sounds fun. I wish I could make it. You guys have fun and ride safely (virgins)!

It's about a week before this event so I thought a little updated would be in order....in case there are some stragglers looking for a ride over the Memorial Day weekend.

I've finalized the Saddle Sore route and am putting finishing touches on the packets I'll be providing riders for the S&M 1000 ride. Warchild looked at them and thought the detail I put into the route, detailed packet with a matrix of mileage and waypoint time estimates, route alternates, and a few other details would go a long way to help first time riders and regulars alike. He's even thinking about riding this route himself!

A little teaser and hint for those folks that haven't asked for the route in advance…..you'll be seeing Bluebird houses and Stonehenge as you head West first thing in the morning and hopefully enjoy a nice view of Mt. St. Helens provided the weather cooperates.

For a the complete details clicky here.

I'm heading up to Prosser in the morning to work out a few details.

Looking forward to seeing folks at the BBQ Friday and everybody safely return Sunday morning. :clapping:

I guess I'll have to add a 15 hour column to my matrix. ;)
While I would normally do the BBG you have set up, I believe I will stick with the all-Washington state SaddleSore 1000.... I need to husband my rear Storm and try to stretch it out before the WORD! rally in two weeks....

And... check this out..... Desert Valley Powersports owner Dan Denchel called me last night, and wants to ride my deerstrike FJR on this run, so Iggy, we may need to quickly rig one of your passenger-peg Hydration units over to Hirschjäger, so Dan won't get heat stroke... :D

So if we see a black Death-Star with Japanese lettering, and a backpack hanging off the back of it go wizzing by us we'll know we need to either pick up the pace or risk getting sucked into it's air-intake?

Well, it looks as though I'll have to be one of those added to the category of "participating in spirit if not in presence". I was trying to delay making the decision for as long as possible hoping for a change in my customer's plans, but I'm not going to be able to make this rally. Work is getting in the way yet again. (Slower than slow for months and then all of the sudden, wham! Never f'ing fails... :glare: ).

Good luck to everyone that's participating; I sure do wish I could be there with you!

Well if SockMonkey is going to bail, I'll just have to step up. Can't have a low turn out for the S&M's first running.

I have a room, and Matt, you have an e-mail.

Sorry you can't make it Marty. I look forward to seeing you in Packwood in June.

As I was cooling my heels in the ER at the VA hospital last Friday night I thought I would be missing this myself but the doc said " have a good time" so I am going to Prosser on Friday and will see you folks at Iggys or the next morning. :D

Hi Iggy,

I am going to have to cancel, I feel like I am coming down with something and since I am going to Hyder next week I don't want to get run down and sick for that trip.

I will be with everyone in spirit and wish all a safe and uneventful ride.

I also hope you make this a annual event I will plan for next year if you have it.
