Mark, aka WheatonFJR, will be visiting our beautiful state. His full ride planning thread is here.

I'm trying to gauge interest in a semi-formal gathering on Saturday, May 21st.

I've reserved a group of 15 rooms at Bodega Coast Inn & Suites. Rates are $139/night for a king or two queens. Breakfast is included on Sunday. Restaurants are within walking distance (I'll research that and find somewhere suitable for our group). Call and ask for Sally at 707.875.2217 or 800.346.6999. Reservation is under "Yamaha FJR".

NOTE: Place has a 2-night minimum but I have a call in to see if they'll waive it for a large gathering. Either way, it would be helpful to have an idea as to number of participants so I can find a suitable location.

Looks like a "can make it," but how are you getting to Guerneville? Might ride up that way with the bunch too. And then a long ride home Sunday.

But what about this "semi-formal" designation? Does that mean sportcoats and ties, but no tuxedo? Will the ladies be wearing white gloves?..

Yowser! If'n they'll do 1 night, that may be a not to miss evening (count me as a probable two up customer for Saturday night). Follow that up with a ride up Hwy.1 to Fontana for a night or two partaking at the Eel River Brewery, stumbling across the parking lot to sleep, AND riding great roads there. Looking like waaayyyyy too nice a guided tour for Wheaties.

Oh yeah -- airboss is coming. So it's all good.

Guerneville's good too -- the word I've heard from knowledgeable locals has been that the population is heavily weighted with Lesbians. Is that still the case? What's not to like -- ogling while you can't get in trouble?

Guerneville has a high (as in numbers not as in dope) gay population, both male and female... so be careful... you might be the one getting ogled.
