Glas1/2ful beat Tree Doc to my house by a few minutes, just enough time to have a cup of coffee and remind me that we had met once upon a time on the ride a couple years ago up to Hopland. Then Tree Doc showed up with Baby. It was great to see her. I've been missing having that bike a lot: I've had to ride the train to work, and I am missing out on all the Wheaton weekend activities.

Glas1/2ful left about a half hour ago hauling the bike up to Roseville. Neither of my new best friends would even accept gas money (though it looks like I'm gonna be on the hook for a beer or cup of coffee next time I see them :glare: ), and neither had a donut, so it looks like it's up to Fang and me to eat a dozen donuts today. I think I can manage. :)

I'm with Ray - really does sound like the clutch. Hope that's it.

Let us know, Hans. If you need a engine, I just might have an 05 engine sitting around here someplace....
Thanks, Hal. I just got off the phone with Zach at Roseville. He's gonna fill it with oil (drained in SLO) and listen to it; then they'll have a thorough look Monday. Can't wait to hear what's up, and will share the news. I sure hope to be able to make my L.A. trip next Friday...!

I just ran across this thread Hans. Sorry about the troubles. You've gone through a lot of rough shit the past year, and I hope this is a relatively easy fix, and the last crap you have to deal with for a while. Great to see forum members going waaaay beyomd the call of duty. Kudos to everybody helping the tall dude.

Hang in there Hans.

Thank you, SPU. Maybe I should have gotten a clutchless model.

BTW, what's all that green shit in and around your yard?
It's the opposite of all that white shit so many of our brethren find in and around their front yards half the year. :D

Cool!

We sometimes forget that owners in some regions of the country don't/can't identify lawns and trees.....much preferring the "flora" of their native state...like snad and cacti!

Hugs and kisses, Greg...

Um, Hans? You are allowed to remove the Givi top case before sending it to the mechanic. :p

We missed you this weekend. Come ride Tahoe if the fix is done. I'm betting you have a bike by Tuesday.

What a great forum story! I agree whole-heartedly - Tim is one helluva guy, I have had the honor and pleasure of playing guest to and riding with him and calling him my friend. I haven't met glass1/2ful yet - much props and good karma to both of these forum heroes!
