That STUPID name probably cost the company thousands of $$$ in marketing research but but given the target demografics(18-25yr sportbike riders) it will most likely return HUGE!!! Pretty stupid Huh!!

So am I the only one that LOVES being able to change shields while wearing the helmet in under 10 secs? Funny thing is that I can't do it with it off my head to save my life.

Regarding the very low temperature performance of the Scorpion helmet, I have a communication from the company that states they retested it after the first failure and weren't able to repeat the problem. I also have a PDF from the testing org. that states there was no need to repeat the test until the next round (guess that would've been in '06). Anyone know if they've retested them since, and if that new data is available?

The helmet was retested on 3/21/06 and passed per NHSTA compliance database case 638168. If the file you have is TRTR-638168-2006.PDF, that would be the most recent official test results. They have not compiled all the 2006 helmets tested but I'm sure that will happen by mid-year.
